Influencia del uso de la tecnología en la prevención del robo de vehículos en la DIVPIRV - Lima Metropolitana, 2026

Abstract

El objetivo del estudio fue determinar la relación entre el uso de la tecnología y la prevención del robo de vehículos en la División de Prevención e Investigación de Robo de Vehículos (DIVPIRV) de Lima Metropolitana durante 2026. La investigación tuvo enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicado, nivel correlacional, diseño no experimental y corte transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 184 efectivos policiales, quienes respondieron un cuestionario estructurado con escala Likert, validado mediante juicio de expertos y con niveles adecuados de confiabilidad. Para el análisis de los datos se aplicó la prueba de normalidad de Kolmogórov Smirnov, cuyos resultados evidenciaron una distribución no normal; por ello, se utilizó el coeficiente Rho de Spearman. Los resultados mostraron una relación positiva alta y significativa entre el uso de la tecnología y la prevención del robo de vehículos (ρ = 0.783; p < 0.01). Asimismo, el nivel de uso tecnológico se relacionó significativamente con el control preventivo del robo vehicular (ρ = 0.716), la capacitación del personal (ρ = 0.613) y la oportunidad de respuesta operativa (ρ = 0.703). De igual manera, la capacidad tecnológica se relacionó con el control preventivo (ρ = 0.701), la capacitación del personal (ρ = 0.790) y la oportunidad de respuesta operativa (ρ = 0.754). Se concluyó que el uso de la tecnología se relaciona positiva y significativamente con la prevención del robo de vehículos en la DIVPIRV.

The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between the use of technology and vehicle theft prevention in the Vehicle Theft Prevention and Investigation Division (DIVPIRV) of Metropolitan Lima in 2026. The research followed a quantitative, applied, correlational, non-experimental, and cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 184 police officers who completed a structured Likert-scale questionnaire, validated through expert judgment and showing adequate reliability levels. For data analysis, the Kolmogorov Smirnov normality test was applied, and the results indicated a non-normal distribution; therefore, Spearman’s rho correlation coefficient was used. The findings showed a high, positive, and significant relationship between the use of technology and vehicle theft prevention (ρ = 0.783; p < 0.01). Likewise, the level of technology use was significantly related to the perception of preventive control of vehicle theft (ρ = 0.716), the perception of personnel training (ρ = 0.613), and the perception of timely operational response to vehicle theft (ρ = 0.703). Similarly, technological capacity was related to the perception of preventive control of vehicle theft (ρ = 0.701), the perception of personnel training (ρ = 0.790), and the perception of timely operational response to vehicle theft (ρ = 0.754). It was concluded that the use of technology is positively and significantly related to vehicle theft prevention in the DIVPIRV.
