Bullying y fobia social en escolares de 3ro y 5to de nivel secundario en una entidad pedagógica privada y estatal, Perú - 2025

Abstract

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo identificar la correlación entre el bullying y la fobia social en escolares de tercero y quinto de secundaria pertenecientes a instituciones educativas estatal y privada en Lima, Perú, en el año 2025. Se utilizó un enfoque cuantitativo, observacional, con diseño analítico y transversal. Se aplicaron la Escala de Ansiedad Social de Liebowitz (LSAS) y el Autotest Cisneros de Acoso y Violencia Escolar (AVE) a 346 estudiantes seleccionados mediante muestreo probabilístico estratificado. Los datos se procesaron en Excel y SPSS para análisis estadístico. Los resultados evidenciaron la presencia de bullying en ambas instituciones, destacando el hostigamiento verbal, la exclusión social, el desprecio y la coacción como formas más frecuentes. Se observó que los estudiantes expuestos repetidamente al acoso presentaron niveles más altos de fobia social. En la institución estatal, las correlaciones fueron bajas y significativas solo en algunas dimensiones (intimidación, exclusión, hostigamiento). En la institución privada, las correlaciones fueron moderadas y significativas en todas las dimensiones, resaltando el desprecio y la coacción como los factores más asociados al incremento de la ansiedad social. Se concluye que el bullying constituye un factor de riesgo para desarrollar fobia social en adolescentes, con mayor impacto en contextos privados. Se recomienda implementar programas preventivos, estrategias de intervención temprana y apoyo psicológico en los colegios para reducir la incidencia del acoso escolar y sus repercusiones en la salud mental y la integración social de los estudiantes.

The present study aimed to identify the correlation between bullying and social phobia among third- and fifth-year secondary school students from public and private educational institutions in Lima, Peru, in the year 2025. A quantitative, observational, analytical, and cross sectional design was used. The Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale (LSAS) and the Cisneros Self Test on Bullying and School Violence (AVE) were applied to 346 students selected through stratified probabilistic sampling. Data were analyzed using Excel and SPSS. Results revealed the presence of bullying in both institutions, mainly through verbal harassment, social exclusion, contempt, and coercion. Students repeatedly exposed to bullying situations showed higher levels of social phobia. In the public school, correlations were low and significant only for some dimensions (intimidation, exclusion, harassment). In the private school, moderate and statistically significant correlations were found across all bullying dimensions, with contempt and coercion being the most associated factors with increased social anxiety. It is concluded that bullying is a risk factor for the development of social phobia among adolescents, with a stronger impact observed in private school settings. Preventive programs, early intervention strategies, and psychological support services are recommended to reduce school bullying and mitigate its effects on students’ mental health and social interaction skills.
