Introduction: Exclusive breastfeeding, recognized as the most effective health intervention for preventing infant morbidity and mortality, prevents cases of diarrhea and pneumonia in the first six months of life. Various studies indicate that the level of knowledge and proper implementation of breastfeeding practices among mothers with children under 6 months of age contribute to preventing infectious diseases and improving infant survival, especially in vulnerable contexts. Objective: To establish the relationship between the level of knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding and breastfeeding practices among mothers with children under 6 months of age attending the Perú IV Zona Health Center in 2025. Methodology: This study uses the hypothetico-deductive method, with a quantitative approach, applied research, and a cross-sectional, non-experimental design. A sample of 109 mothers with children under 6 months of age attending the Peru IV Zone Health Center in 2025 was obtained. Two instruments were used: the Questionnaire on Parental Knowledge and Attitudes Regarding Breastfeeding (Crippa et al.) to assess the level of knowledge, and the Questionnaire on Breastfeeding Practices (Wang et al.) to assess exclusive breastfeeding practices. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS version 26 statistical software, applying descriptive and inferential techniques, such as Spearman's rho coefficient, to establish the relationship between the study variables.
