Clima social familiar y autoestima en estudiantes de una institución educativa del distrito de José María Arguedas, Andahuaylas 2023

Abstract

El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar la relación entre el clima social familiar y la autoestima en estudiantes de una institución educativa del distrito de José María Arguedas, Andahuaylas 2023. Para ello se realizó un estudio con enfoque cuantitativo de tipo básico y método hipotético deductivo. Por medio de un diseño correlacional - no experimental. El estudio se centró en un grupo de 152 estudiantes de los grados tercero, cuarto y quinto de secundaria, seleccionando finalmente una muestra de 109 alumnos mediante la técnica de muestreo probabilístico. Para la recopilación de datos se utilizó la Escala de Clima Social Familiar de Moss y Trickett junto con la Escala de Autoestima de Rosenberg. Entre los participantes, el 43.1% tenía 16 años y el 44.0% estaba cursando el tercer grado. Al analizar el clima social familiar, un 53.2% de los estudiantes lo calificaron como malo, mientras que un 44.0% lo consideraron regular. En cuanto a la autoestima, se observó que el 77.1% de los estudiantes presentaba niveles bajos de autoestima, y un 20.2% mostraba autoestima en un rango medio. Mediante el análisis de correlación de Pearson, se obtuvo un coeficiente r=0.218 y un valor de p=0.023<0.05. Del cual se concluyó que existe relación estadísticamente significativa entre el clima social familiar y la autoestima en estudiantes de una institución educativa del distrito de José María Arguedas, Andahuaylas 2023.

The objective of the research was to determine the relationship between family social climate and self-esteem in students from an educational institution in the José María Arguedas district, Andahuaylas 2023. For this, a study with a quantitative approach of a basic type and a hypothetical-deductive method was conducted, using a correlational, non-experimental design. The study focused on a group of 152 high school students from the third, fourth, and fifth grades, finally selecting a sample of 109 students through probabilistic sampling.

To collect data, the Family Social Climate Scale by Moss and Trickett, along with the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, were used. Among the participants, 43.1% were 16 years old, and 44.0% were in the third grade. When analyzing the family social climate, 53.2% of the students rated it as poor, while 44.0% considered it average. Regarding self-esteem, 77.1% of the students showed low levels of self-esteem, and 20.2% displayed self-esteem within a medium range.

Through Pearson's correlation analysis, a coefficient of r=0.218 and a value of p=0.023<0.05 were obtained. It was concluded that there is a statistically significant relationship between family social climate and self-esteem in students from an educational institution in the José María Arguedas district, Andahuaylas 2023.
