El índice de masa corporal y nivel de ferritina en alumnos de 5TO y 6TO ciclo de Tecnología Médica de Laboratorio Clínico de la universidad Norbert Wiener 2024

Abstract

En este estudio “El índice de masa corporal y nivel de ferritina en alumnos de 5TO y 6TO ciclo de Tecnología Médica de Laboratorio Clínico de la universidad Norbert Wiener 2024” tiene como: Objetivo: Determinar la relación que existe entre el Índice de Masa Corporal y nivel de ferritina en alumnos de 5to y 6to ciclo de Tecnología Médica de Laboratorio Clínico. Método y Diseño: Estudio de tipo deductivo, cuantitativo, no experimental transversal. Participaron 92 alumnos de ambos sexos de 5to y 6to ciclo de Tecnología Médica en Laboratorio Clínico de la Universidad Norbert Wiener de, 2024, a quienes se pesó, talló y se les tomó muestras sanguíneas. Para el análisis de datos se ejecutó Chi Cuadrado de Pearson para responder la hipótesis. Resultados: La relación entre el Índice de Masa Corporal y nivel de ferritina, el p-valor = 0,124 de la prueba estadística fue mayor que el nivel de significancia (alfa=0.05), indicando que no hay relación entre ellas; a diferencia de peso y género con el nivel de ferritina si hay relación, mientras que talla y edad no tiene relación con nivel de ferritina. Conclusión: Este trabajo indica que no hay relación entre el Índice de masa corporal con el nivel de ferritina.

In this study “The body mass index and ferritin level in students of the 5th and 6th cycle of Clinical Laboratory Medical Technology at the Norbert Wiener University 2024” has the following: Objective: Determine the relationship that exists between the Body Mass Index and ferritin level in students of the 5th and 6th cycle of Clinical Laboratory Medical Technology. Method and Design: Deductive, quantitative, non-experimental cross sectional study. 92 students of both sexes from the 5th and 6th cycle of Medical Technology in the Clinical Laboratory of the Norbert Wiener University in 2024 participated, who were weighed, measured, and had blood samples taken. For data analysis, Pearson's Chi Square was run to answer the hypothesis. Results: The relationship between the Body Mass Index and ferritin level, the p-value = 0.124 of the statistical test, was greater than the level of significance (alpha = 0.05), indicating that there is no relationship between them; Unlike weight and gender, there is a relationship with the ferritin level, while height and age have no relationship with the ferritin level. Conclusion: This work indicates that there is no relationship between the Body Mass Index and the ferritin level.
