Nivel de sobrecarga y calidad de sueño en cuidadores de niños que asisten al Centro Eipadin, Lima - 2025

Abstract

Objetivo: “Determinar la relación entre nivel de sobrecarga y calidad de sueño en cuidadores de niños con discapacidad del centro Eipadin, lima -2025”. Metodología: Se utilizó instrumentos validados como la escala de Zarit para medir la sobrecarga y el cuestionario de calidad de sueño de Pittsburgh para la segunda variable. Estudio hipotético - deductivo, con enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo aplicada y de diseño no experimental. La muestra fue de 67 cuidadores de niños que asisten al centro de neuropediatría. Resultados: Se obtuvo una edad media de 29,34 años, predomino el sexo femenino (71,6%), en cuanto a la sobrecarga se obtuvo una sobrecarga intensa (78,1%), sobrecarga ligera (20.9%) y ausencia de sobrecarga (3%). Respecto a la calidad de sueño, requiere atención y tratamiento (43,3%), requiere atención médica (41,8%) y sin problemas de sueño (14,9 %). Conclusiones: existe una relación negativa entre la sobrecarga y calidad de sueño en cuidadores de niños que asisten al Centro Eipadin, Lima – 2025.

Objective: To determine the relationship between caregiver burden and sleep quality in caregivers of children with disabilities at the Eipadin Center, Lima, Peru, 2025. Methodology: Validated instruments such as the Zarit Burden Interview were used to measure caregiver burden, and the “Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index was used to measure sleep quality”. This was a hypothetical-deductive study with a quantitative, applied, and non-experimental design. The sample consisted of 67 caregivers of children who attend the neuropediatrics center. Results: The mean age was 29.34 years, with a predominance of females (71.6%). Regarding caregiver burden, the results showed intense burden (78.1%), mild burden (20.9%), and no burden (3%). Regarding sleep quality, 43.3% required attention and treatment, 41.8% required medical attention, and 14.9% had no sleep problems. Conclusions: There is a negative relationship between overload and sleep quality in caregivers of children attending the Eipadin Center, Lima – 2025.
