Nivel de conocimiento y su relación con la actitud hacia la vacunación en madres de niños menores de 5 años que asisten al Centro de Salud Sagrado Corazón de Jesús - Lima, 2024

Abstract

Objetivo: Analizar la relación del nivel de conocimiento con la actitud hacia la vacunación en madres de niños menores de 5 años que asisten al Centro de Salud Sagrado Corazón de Jesús – Lima, 2024. Materiales y métodos: El estudio fue hipotético deductivo, de enfoque cuantitativo, diseño descriptivo correlacional, transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 100 madres con niños menores de 05 años. Los instrumentos aplicados fueron la encuesta y el cuestionario sobre el nivel de conocimiento y la actitud hacia la vacunación. Resultados: El nivel predominante en la variable 1 fue el nivel medio con un 74%, frente a un nivel alto con 24%. En tanto a la variable 2, el nivel sobresaliente fue la actitud favorable con un 85 %, frente a la actitud desfavorable con un 15%. En tanto a las dimensiones, las madres con niños menores de 05 años cuentan con un nivel medio (55 %) según su dimensión de conocimiento teórico de la vacuna, mientras que en la dimensión de conocimiento de la aplicación de la vacuna predomina también el nivel medio (65 %) y para su dimensión sobre el conocimiento sobre la acción de la vacuna realza de igual manera el nivel medio (64 %). Conclusiones: En mención a las variables, no existe ningún tipo de relación entre ellas, siendo p-valor= 0.930>0.05.

Objective: To analyze the relationship between the level of knowledge and the attitude towards vaccination in mothers of children under 5 years of age who attend the Sagrado Corazón de Jesús Health Center – Lima, 2024. Materials and methods: The study was hypothetical, deductive, with a focus quantitative, descriptive correlational, cross-sectional design. The sample was made up of 100 mothers with children under 05 years of age. The instruments applied were the survey and the questionnaire on the level of knowledge and attitude towards vaccination. Results: The predominant level in variable 1 was the medium level with 74%, compared to a high level with 24%. As for variable 2, the outstanding level was the favorable attitude with 85%, compared to the unfavorable attitude with 15%. Regarding the dimensions, mothers with children under 05 years of age have a medium level (55%) according to their dimension of theoretical knowledge of the vaccine, while in the dimension of knowledge of the application of the vaccine the level also predominates medium (65%) and for its dimension on knowledge about the action of the vaccine, it also enhances the medium level (64%). Conclusions: Regarding the variables, there is no type of relationship between them, with p value= 0.930>0.05.
