Agresividad y autoestima en adolescentes del nivel de secundaria en un colegio estatal del distrito de Chorrillos en Lima Metropolitana, 2025

Abstract

El estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre agresividad y autoestima en adolescentes del nivel de secundaria en un colegio estatal del distrito de Chorrillos en Lima metropolitana, 2025. El estudio fue de tipo básica, enfoque cuantitativo de nivel correlacional y corte transversal, la población estuvo conformada por los estudiantes de la I.E Los Inkas de los cuales 183 conformaron la muestra a quienes se les aplicaron cuestionarios validados. Los resultados mostraron que el 61.2% manifestó una agresividad moderada y el 43.2% una alta autoestima; asimismo, se identificó que existe correlación significativa moderada inversa entre la agresividad y la autoestima (rho=0.53; p=0.00); de la misma manera, la autoestima se correlacionó con las dimensiones: agresividad física (rho=-0.38; p=0.00), agresividad verbal (rho=-0.39; p=0.00), ira (rho=0.51; p=0.00) y hostilidad (rho=-0.47; p=0.00). Se concluyó que a mayores niveles de conductas agresivas los adolescentes tienden a presentar menores niveles de autoestima.

The study aimed to determine the relationship between aggression and self-esteem in secondary school students at a public school in the Chorrillos district of metropolitan Lima, 2025. The study was a basic, quantitative, correlational, and cross-sectional study. The population consisted of students from the Los Inkas Educational Institution, of whom 183 comprised the sample, and validated questionnaires were administered to them. The results showed that 61.2% exhibited moderate aggression and 43.2% high self-esteem; furthermore, a significant moderate inverse correlation was identified between aggression and self-esteem (rho=-0.53; p=0.00). Similarly, self-esteem correlated with the following dimensions: physical aggression (rho=-0.38; p=0.00), verbal aggression (rho=-0.39; p=0.00), anger (rho=-0.51; p=0.00), and hostility (rho=-0.47; p=0.00). It was concluded that higher levels of aggressive behavior in adolescents tend to be associated with lower levels of self-esteem.
