This study aims to determine the relationship between anxiety and cognitive rumination in patients treated at a Community Mental Health Center in Cusco during 2026. The research employed a quantitative, basic, and correlational design, oriented toward establishing the degree of association between the study variables. The sample consisted of 192 patients between 18 and 40 years of age. Data was collected using a survey, with a standardized questionnaire as the primary instrument. The results showed a positive, significant, and moderate relationship between anxiety and cognitive rumination (Rho = .481; p < .001). Significant relationships were also found between anxiety and the factors of reflection (Rho = .402; p < .001), depression (Rho = .381; p < .001), and reproach (Rho = .381; p < .001).
