El objetivo del presente estudio es establecer la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento sobre las medidas preventivas del cáncer cervical y la práctica del tamizaje en mujeres en edad fértil del Centro de Atención Telefónica, Lima, 2026. La investigación fue de tipo no experimental, con un diseño descriptivo y de corte transversal. La recolección de datos se realizó mediante una encuesta aplicada a una población de 120 mujeres en edad fértil. Los Resultados a los que se llegó son: Que el 63.3% (76) de los encuestados presenta un nivel de conocimiento alto, el 35.0% (42) presenta un nivel medio, mientras que solo el 1.7% (2) corresponde a un nivel bajo sobre las medidas preventivas del cáncer cervical. Se observa que el 52.5% (63) de los encuestados no se ha realizado el tamizaje, mientras que el 47.5% (57) sí accedió a esta prueba. Dentro del grupo con nivel de conocimiento alto, 41 personas (34.2%) sí se realizaron el tamizaje, mientras que 35 (29.2%) no lo hicieron. En el nivel medio, 16 personas (13.3%) sí accedieron al tamizaje y 26 (21.7%) no lo realizaron. Por otro lado, en el nivel bajo no se registraron personas que se hayan realizado el tamizaje, mientras que 2 (1.7%) no accedieron a este. Conclusión: No existe una relación estadísticamente significativa entre el nivel de conocimiento sobre las medidas preventivas del cáncer cervical y la realización del tamizaje en mujeres en edad fértil de un centro de atención telefónica de Lima, 2026.
Resumen
The objective of this study is to establish the relationship between the level of knowledge about cervical cancer prevention measures and screening practices among women of childbearing age at the Telephone Assistance Center in Lima, 2026. The research was non-experimental, with a descriptive, cross-sectional design. Data collection was carried out through a survey administered to a population of 120 women of childbearing age. The results showed that 63.3% (76) of the respondents had a high level of knowledge, 35.0% (42) had a medium level, and only 1.7% (2) had a low level of knowledge regarding cervical cancer prevention measures. It was also observed that 52.5% (63) of the respondents had not undergone screening, while 47.5% (57) had. Within the group with a high level of knowledge, 41 people (34.2%) underwent screening, while 35 (29.2%) did not. In the medium level, 16 people (13.3%) accessed screening and 26 (21.7%) did not. On the other hand, in the low level, no people were recorded as having undergone screening, while 2 (1.7%) did not access it. Conclusion: There is no statistically significant relationship between the level of knowledge about cervical cancer prevention measures and the participation in screening among women of childbearing age at a telephone hotline in Lima, 2026.
