Inteligencia emocional y agresividad en adolescentes del nivel secundario de una institución educativa de San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima – 2024

Abstract

La investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre inteligencia emocional y agresividad en adolescentes del nivel secundario de una institución educativa de San Juan de Lurigancho. La metodología utilizada fue de enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo básica, nivel descriptivo – correlacional y diseño no experimental y transversal. La muestra estuvo constituida por 123 estudiantes de 3|, 4º y 5º de secundaria de una institución educativa publica de San Juan de Lurigancho, a quienes se les aplicó el Inventario de inteligencia emocional Bar-On ICE-NA y el Cuestionario de agresividad de Buss y Perry. Los resultados de la investigación mostraron que existe relación negativa y significativa (rho=-0.531; p=0.00<0.05), entre inteligencia emocional y agresividad. Es decir, el desarrollo de rasgos personales, interpersonales y sociales que permiten gestionar favorablemente las emociones reduce la posibilidad de emitir respuestas de agresión física o verbal con ira y hostilidad hacia otros.

The objective of the research was to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and aggressiveness in adolescents at the secondary level of an educational institution in San Juan de Lurigancho. The methodology used was a quantitative approach, basic, descriptive-correlational level and non-experimental and cross-sectional design. The sample was made up of 123 students from 3rd, 4th and 5th grade of secondary school from a public educational institution in San Juan de Lurigancho, to whom the Bar-On ICE-NA emotional intelligence inventory and the Buss aggression questionnaire were applied. and Perry. The results of the research showed that there is a negative and significant relationship (rho=-0.531; p=0.00<0.05) between emotional intelligence and aggressiveness. That is, the development of personal, interpersonal and social traits that allow for favorable management of emotions reduces the possibility of emitting responses of physical or verbal aggression with anger and hostility towards others.
