Introducción: El afrontamiento emocional y la calidad de vida en pacientes ostomizados constituyen un tema de gran relevancia en el ámbito de la salud, ya que la presencia de una ostomía implica no solo cambios físicos significativos, sino también repercusiones emocionales, sociales y psicológicas que influyen directamente en el bienestar integral del paciente. La forma en que cada persona enfrenta esta nueva condición determina su capacidad de adaptación, su percepción de la propia salud y el modo en que reconstruye su vida cotidiana. En este sentido, resulta fundamental se plantea como objetivo: determinar la relación entre el afrontamiento emocional y la calidad de vida en pacientes ostomizados en el servicio de hospitalización de cirugía. Metodología: el estudio de tipo aplicada se efectuará a través del enfoque cuantitativo con un diseño no experimental establecido en un corte transversal, con la participación de un población y muestra constituida por 80 pacientes ostomizados para la recolección de datos se usará la técnica de la encuesta con herramientas de preguntas cerradas para cada variable. Luego de aplicar los instrumentos, se recopilarán la data, la cual se formará con la codificación de las respuestas en una base de datos para su análisis estadístico utilizando el Statistical Package for the Social Sciences versión 25. Se emplearán cálculos estadistas a nivel descriptivo e inferencial mediante la prueba de Spearman, que permitirá verificar la validez y precisión de las hipótesis del estudio. Asimismo, se garantizará el cumplimiento de la ética de estudio, como la autonomía, la beneficencia, la justicia, la no maleficencia.
Resumen
Introduction: Emotional coping and quality of life in ostomy patients are a topic of great relevance in the field of health, since the presence of an ostomy implies not only significant physical changes, but also emotional, social and psychological repercussions that directly influence the patient's overall well-being. The way in which each person faces this new condition determines their ability to adapt, their perception of their own health and the way in which they reconstruct their daily life. In this sense, it is essential to determine the relationship between emotional coping and quality of life in ostomy patients in the surgical hospitalization service. Methodology: The applied study will be carried out through the quantitative approach with a non-experimental design established in a cross-section, with the participation of a population and sample consisting of 80 ostomized patients. For data collection, the survey technique will be used with closed question tools for each variable. After applying the instruments, the data will be collected, which will be formed with the coding of the responses in a database for statistical analysis using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences version 25. Statistical calculations will be used at the descriptive and inferential level using the Spearman test, which will allow the validity and precision of the hypotheses of the study to be verified. Likewise, compliance with study ethics, such as autonomy, beneficence, justice, and non-maleficence, will be guaranteed.
