Conocimiento sobre métodos anticonceptivos y actitud hacia el uso en adolescentes de la Institución Educativa N°1224 - El Paraíso, 2024

Abstract

Objetivo: Este estudio de investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre el conocimiento sobre métodos anticonceptivos y la actitud hacia el uso en adolescentes de la Institución Educativa N° 1224 – El Paraíso, 2024. Metodología: El método empleado fue Hipotético- deductivo con enfoque cuantitativo y tipo de investigación aplicada con diseño observacional de corte transversal. La investigación contó con una muestra integrada por 98 estudiantes de cuarto y quinto grado de secundaria, para recolectar la información necesaria se recurrió a la técnica de la encuesta mediante un cuestionario para cada variable con instrumentos validados por juicio de expertos, donde la confiabilidad para el instrumento que mide el conocimiento tiene un valor de KR20= 0.731 y para la variable actitud arrojó un alfa de Cronbach de 0.804. Se realizó la prueba de normalidad a las variables de estudio mediante Kolmogorov Smirnov para determinar el tipo de distribución que siguen los datos, además, se realizó la prueba de correlación Rho de Spearman para determinar si existe relación entre las variables. Resultados: De los adolescentes encuestados el 70.4% tiene conocimiento bajo y el 2% conocimiento alto, por otro lado, respecto a la actitud hacia el uso de anticonceptivos el 81.6% tiene actitud indiferente y el 1% actitud desfavorable. Conclusiones: Se constató una relación estadística significativa entre el conocimiento sobre métodos anticonceptivos y la actitudinal hacia el uso en adolescentes con un nivel de significancia valor de p=0,000 y una correlación de Rho=0,486.

Objective: This research study aimed to determine the relationship between knowledge about contraceptive methods and attitudes toward their use among adolescents at Educational Institution No. 1224 – El Paraíso, 2024. Methodology: The method used was Hypothetical-deductive with a quantitative approach and applied research type with a cross-sectional observational design. The research had a sample made up of 98 students from fourth and fifth grade of secondary school, to collect the necessary information the survey technique was used through a questionnaire for each variable with instruments validated by expert judgment, where the reliability for the instrument that measures knowledge has a value of KR20 = 0.731 and for the attitude variable it showed a Cronbach's alpha of 0.804. The normality test was performed on the study variables using Kolmogorov Smirnov to determine the type of distribution followed by the data. In addition, the Spearman Rho correlation test was performed to determine if there is a relationship between the variables. Results: Of the adolescents surveyed, 70.4% have low knowledge and 2% have high knowledge, on the other hand, regarding the attitude towards the use of contraceptives, 81.6% have an indifferent attitude and 1% have an unfavorable attitude. Conclusions: A statistically significant relationship was found between knowledge about contraceptive methods and attitudes toward use among adolescents, with a significance level of p = 0.000 and a correlation of rho = 0.486.
