Seguridad alimentaria y estado nutricional de los niños menores de 3 años atendidos en un puesto de salud – Huánuco 2025

Abstract

Introducción: La infancia representa una fase clave durante el crecimiento y evolución del ser humano, por ello garantizar la seguridad alimentaria en esta etapa constituye un elemento central para promover sociedades más saludables y sostenibles. Por otro lado, los problemas nutricionales en los niños(as), generan consecuencias duraderas que perturban la calidad de vida y su bienestar durante toda su vida. El objetivo del proyecto de tesis es “Determinar la relación entre la seguridad alimentaria y el estado nutricional en niños(as) menores de 3 años en un puesto de salud - Huánuco 2025” Metodología: se aplicará el método hipotético-deductivo, de enfoque cuantitativo, con un diseño no experimental, de tipo transversal, de nivel correlacional. La población será una población muestral con un total de 81 madres de niños (as) que son menores de 3 años de edad, y visitan regularmente el Puesto de Salud Colpa Baja. Se aplicarán tanto la Escala Latinoamericana y del Caribe de Seguridad Alimentaria (ELCSA) como también la ficha destinada a la recolección de datos antropométricos de niños (as), se hará uso de los estándares de crecimiento establecidos por la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS). Se procederá a llevar a cabo un análisis exhaustivo de los datos con el SSPS 25, donde se realizarán diversas pruebas tanto descriptivas como inferenciales. Entre estas, se incluirá el cálculo del coeficiente de correlación Rho de Spearman, el cual servirá para ilustrar de manera precisa la relación existente entre las distintas variables estudiadas.

Introduction: Childhood represents a key phase during the growth and development of the human being; therefore, ensuring food security at this stage is a central element to promote healthier and more sustainable societies. On the other hand, nutritional problems in children have lasting consequences that disturb their quality of life and well-being throughout their lives. The objective of the thesis project is “To determine the relationship between food security and nutritional status in children under 3 years of age at a health center - Huánuco 2025.” Methodology: The hypothetical-deductive method will be applied, with a quantitative approach, a non-experimental design, cross-sectional type, and correlational level. The population will be a sample population consisting of a total of 81 mothers of children under 3 years of age, who regularly visit the Colpa Baja Health Post. Both the Latin American and Caribbean Food Security Scale (ELCSA) and the form intended for the collection of anthropometric data of children will be applied, using the growth standards established by the World Health Organization (WHO). A thorough analysis of the data will be carried out with SPSS 25, where various descriptive and inferential tests will be conducted. Among these, the calculation of Spearman's Rho correlation coefficient will be included, which will serve to accurately illustrate the relationship between the different variables studied.
