Work stress and quality of professional life in nurses of the emergency service of a hospital in Lima, 2023

Abstract

Objective: “To determine the relationship between work stress and quality of professional life in nurses in the emergency service of a hospital in Lima - 2023”, the population that will be used in the study will be made up of 50 nurses from the emergency service. On the other hand, no probabilistic convenience sampling will be used for the study. The study approach will be quantitative. The design adopted will be characterized by being observational, descriptive, correlational, prospective. To measure the variable, the Maslach scale was used to evaluate the variable “work stress”, reliable with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.794. To evaluate the “quality of professional life” variable, the CVP-35 instrument was used with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.937. The processing and statistical analysis of the data will be carried out through descriptive techniques, presenting frequencies in percentages. Additionally, the statistical analysis will be adjusted according to the distribution of the data, using parametric statistical tests such as Pearson Correlation or non-parametric tests as appropriate (Chi-square)

Objetivo: “Determinar la relación entre estrés laboral y calidad de vida profesional en enfermeras del servicio de emergencia de un hospital de Lima - 2023”, la población que se utilizará en el estudio estará conformada por 50 enfermeras del servicio de emergencia. Por otro lado, para el estudio se utilizará un muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia. El enfoque de estudio será cuantitativo. El diseño adoptado se caracterizará por ser observacional, descriptivo, correlacional, prospectivo. Para medir la variable se utilizó la escala de Maslach para evaluar la variable “estrés laboral”, confiable con un alfa de Cronbach de 0,794. Para evaluar la variable “calidad de vida profesional” se utilizó el instrumento CVP 35 con un alfa de Cronbach de 0,937. El procesamiento y análisis estadístico de los datos se realizará a través de técnicas descriptivas, presentando frecuencias en porcentajes. Además, el análisis estadístico se ajustará según la distribución de los datos, utilizando pruebas estadísticas paramétricas como la Correlación de Pearson o pruebas no paramétricas según corresponda (Chi-cuadrado).
