Introduction: It is no secret that healthcare workers, especially nurses, face a critical situation worldwide, particularly in Latin America, where they must adapt to daily changes and demands in the clinical setting. These conditions expose them to high levels of chronic stress, which impacts their job performance. Objective: "To determine how burnout syndrome is related to the self-perception of job performance among nurses in the intensive and intermediate care units." Methodology: The study will have a quantitative approach, applied type, with a correlational scope and a non-experimental, cross-sectional design. It will include all the staff working in the intensive and intermediate care units of the Hospital Nacional Alberto Sabogal Sologuren, Lima 2023, which comprises 75 nurses. The inclusion criteria will be based on those willing to participate in the study and respond to the questionnaire, with prior informed consent, and who have been working for a minimum of six months. Staff who do not wish to participate or do not meet the minimum work experience required for the study, as well as those on leave, vacation, or performing administrative duties, will be excluded. To gather the results, a survey technique will be used, applying two questionnaires for each variable. Both instruments were adopted from Urrunaga's work in 2018, which were validated through expert judgment and showed very high reliability coefficients of 0.881 and 0.804 Cronbach's Alpha, respectively. All this will follow ethical guidelines and will be statistically processed using tables and charts for descriptive analysis, as well as inferential analysis using Spearman's Rho correlation.
Resumen
“Determinar cómo el síndrome de desgaste profesional se relaciona con la autopercepción del desempeño laboral en las enfermeras del servicio de cuidados intensivos e intermedios”. Metodología: El estudio tendrá un enfoque cuantitativo de tipo aplicado con alcance correlacional y diseño no experimental de corte transversal que se constituirá por todo el personal que labora en el servicio de cuidados intensivos e intermedios del Hospital Nacional Alberto Sabogal Sologuren, Lima 2023, equivalente a 75 enfermeras. Se consideraron, los aspectos de inclusión a considerar tendrán relevancia de acuerdo a quienes deseen participar en el estudio y respondiendo el cuestionario, previo consentimiento informado y que laboren con un mínimo de seis meses; se excluirá al personal que no desee participar y no cuente con el tiempo mínimo de labores dispuesto para el estudio, asimismo aquellos profesionales que se encuentren de licencia, vacaciones o que realicen labores administrativas. Para recabar los resultados se procederá a aplicar la técnica de encuesta mediante dos instrumentos cuestionario en cada variable, ambos han sido tomados del trabajo de Urrunaga en el año 2018, los cuales presentan validación mediante juicio de expertos y confiabilidades muy altas de 0.881 y 0.804 Alfa de Cronbach como coeficiente respectivamente, todo ello, seguirá a ruta de los aspectos éticos para luego ser procesados estadísticamente a través de tablas y gráficos para el análisis descriptivo, así como el análisis inferencial mediante correlación de Rho de Spearman
