Workload and stress in the nurses of the respiratory emergency service in the hospital of Lima, 2021

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship between workload and stress in nurses working in the respiratory emergency service at the Hospital in Lima, 2021.

Methodology: The research is a quantitative study with a correlational level and cross-sectional design, which will be carried out with 50 nursing professionals from Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen Hospital. The technique used will be the survey, and the instruments will be two Likert-type questionnaires: The first instrument, titled "Questionnaire of the National Institute of Safety and Hygiene at Work (INSHT)", will collect information regarding the workload of the nursing professional and consists of 58 items organized into four dimensions. The second instrument, Nursing Stress Scale (NSS)", will evaluate job stress and consists of 34 items distributed across 3 dimensions. Finally, the relationship between variables will be determined using the Spearman's Rho coefficient.

Finalmente, la relación entre variables se determinará mediante el coeficiente Rho de Spearman."
