Commute distance and life quality in textile workers of Santa Rosabgallery, Lima 2022

Abstract

The textile industry has become very important over time for economic growth in developing countries, increasing the number of people working in this sector, which becomes vulnerable due to prolonged exposure. Studies report the vulnerability to respiratory health problems in this sector, affecting their quality of life, which worsens with sedentary behavior and lack of physical activity. However, there is a need for further studies on this topic and to generate preventive measures for this sector. Each variable is measured by an instrument: the distance walked will be assessed using the 6-minute walk test, a key test for measuring functional capacity in patients. The second variable, quality of life, will be measured with the SF-12 questionnaire. Based on the results obtained, the relationship between these two variables will be established in textile workers. This will provide updated scientific information for future research.

El mundo de la industria textil con el paso del tiempo se ha vuelto muy importante para crecimiento económico en los países en desarrollo, aumentado las cantidades de personas que ejercen esta actividad, volviéndose vulnerables por la exposición prolongada. En estudios informan la vulnerabilidad a los problemas de salud respiratoria que están sometidos este sector, afectando su calidad de vida y esto irá agravando con el sedentarismo y la falta de actividad física, pero sin embargo existen necesidades de más estudios de este tema y generar medidas prevención para este sector. Cada variable son medidas por un instrumento, la distancia recorrida se realizará mediante la prueba de caminata de 6 minutos que es la prueba de oro muy importante para la medición de la capacidad funcional en pacientes. La segunda variable medirá la calidad de vida mediante el cuestionario SF-12. En base a estos resultados obtenidos, se establece la relación entre ambas variables evaluadas en los trabajadores textiles. De esta manera se dejará información científica actualizada, que podrá ser utilizada para investigaciones futuras.
