Resumen
Objective: To systematize the appropriate evidence regarding the risks of mutagenic, teratogenic, carcinogenic alterations, and dermal issues due to exposure to cytostatic agents in healthcare personnel. Methodology: This is a Systematic Review that synthesizes the results of various primary research studies. Relevant studies were verified to address the research question. The search was conditioned to articles with full text, and the selected articles underwent a critical reading analysis, using the GRADE system to determine the strength of the recommendations. Results: From the available evidence, 90% (n=9/10) indicate that carcinogenic agents pose a health risk to personnel, leading to problems primarily characterized by teratogenicity, mutagenicity, and carcinogenicity. Conclusion: Cytostatic agents have been shown to possess toxic effects such as teratogenicity, mutagenicity, and carcinogenicity in exposed workers.
Resumen
Objetivo: Sistematizar las evidencias adecuadas acerca de los riesgos frente de alteraciones mutagénicas, teratogenicas, carcinogénicas y problemas dérmicos frente a la exposición de agentes citostaticos en el personal de salud. Metodología: Se trata de una Revisión Sistemática que sintetiza los resultados de diversas investigaciones primarias. Se comprobaron estudios relevantes para dar una respuesta a la pregunta de investigación, la pesquisa se ha condicionado artículos con texto completo, y los artículos seleccionados se resumieron a una lectura de análisis crítico, utilizando el sistema grade para así poder ceder la fuerza de recomendación. Resultados: así mismo de las evidencias que se pudo encontrar, el 90% (n=9/10) señalan que los agentes cancerígenos son riesgosos para la salud del personal ya que conlleva a problemas cuyo principales efectos adversos tenemos teratogenicidad,mutagenicidad y cancerígenos. Conclusión:Los agentes citostaticos han demostrado poseer efectos tóxicos como teratogenicidad,mutagenicidad y cancerígenos en los trabajadores expuestos
