Burnout Syndrome (BOS) is the deterioration or exhaustion suffered by professionals in the performance of their duties. Nursing staff in times of the COVID-19 pandemic are more likely to suffer from symptoms; This symptom can increase due to more specialized work, such as the Intensive Care Unit. The objective of the research is "To determine the level of Burnout Syndrome in the nursing professional in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit of an EsSalud Lima Hospital, 2021." The methodology will be deductive, quantitative, applied and descriptive level. The design will be observational, non-experimental and transversal. The population will be made up of 40 nursing professionals who work in the “COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit of an EsSalud Lima Hospital, 2021”. The entire population will be taken, which is very small, the sampling will be for convenience and not probabilistic. Data collection will be in the month of September 2021; The “Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI)” questionnaire will be used and will consist of 22 items, which will be distributed in 3 dimensions: “Emotional exhaustion”, “depersonalization” and “Personal fulfillment”. The data obtained will be classified, recorded, tabulated and coded, then they will be analyzed using the SPSS 25 program. The results will be illustrated in tables, charts, graphs as appropriate, for subsequent analysis and interpretation.
Resumen
El Síndrome de Burnout (SBO) es el deterioro o agotamiento que sufre el profesional en el desempeño de sus funciones. El personal de enfermería en los tiempos de pandemia COVID-19 están más propensos a sufrir la sintomatología; dicho síntoma puede incrementar por la labor más especializado como el caso de la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos. El objetivo de la investigación es “Determinar el nivel de Síndrome de Burnout en el profesional de enfermería en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos COVID-19 de un Hospital de EsSalud Lima, 2021”. La metodología será deductivo, cuantitativo, aplicada y nivel descriptivo. El diseño será observacional no experimental y transversal. La población, estará conformada por 40 profesionales de enfermería que labora en la “Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos COVID-19 de un Hospital de EsSalud Lima, 2021”. Será tomada la totalidad de la población que es muy pequeña, el muestreo será por conveniencia y no probabilístico. La recolección de datos será en el mes de setiembre del 2021; se empleará el cuestionario de “Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI)” y que estará constituida de 22 ítems, que estará distribuida en 3 dimensiones: “Agotamiento emocional”, “despersonalización” y “realización Personal”. Los datos obtenidos serán clasificadas, registradas, tabuladas y codificadas, luego serán analizados mediante el empleo del programa SPSS 25. Los resultados serán ilustrados en tablas, cuadros, gráficas según sea el caso, para su posterior análisis e interpretación.
