This research aims to determine the relationship between workload and self-care among nurses at Carlos Alberto Peschiera Carrillo Hospital – INCOR, ESSALUD during the COVID-19 pandemic, Lima, June 2021. Materials and methods: This research has a quantitative approach, and the methodological design is a correlational, cross-sectional study. The population consists of 250 registered nurses, and the participants will be selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The technique used in the research will be surveys, and the instruments will be questionnaires to measure the two variables. Instrument 1, which measures workload, will use the Hart and Staveland (1988) tool, adapted by Edith Margot Gonzales Salazar. The study consists of a total of 68 questions grouped into 4 dimensions. The answers are dichotomous for each question: if the answer is "YES" = 1, and NO" = 0. To measure variable 2, self-care among nurses, the instrument known as the Self-Assessment Test will be used, consisting of 31 questions. This instrument is a modified and adapted questionnaire based on the one included in the Guide for Healthy Universities, conducted in the study by Martínez and Sáez (2007) from Chile, titled “Self-Care Behaviors in University Students Living at the Huachocopihue Housing Complex of the UACh, 2006.” The instrument was modified and adapted by the author Hancco Gutierrez based on the theory of Tobón and García for scoring. The responses are polytomous, with two dimensions, and the scale is as follows: A = 2, B = 1, C = 0, using a Likert scale.
Resumen
La presente investigación tiene por objetivo determinar la relación entre la sobrecarga laboral y autocuidado de las enfermeras del hospital Carlos Alberto Peschiera Carrillo – INCOR, ESSALUD durante la pandemia COVID -19, Lima , Junio 2021. Materiales y métodos: la presente investigación es de enfoque cuantitativo, en cuanto al diseño metodológico es una investigación correlacional de corte transversal. la población esta constituida por 250 Lic. Enfermería, los participantes serán seleccionadas de acuerdo a los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. la técnica a utilizarse en la investigación son las encuestas y los instrumentos son cuestionarios para medir las dos variables. El instrumento 1 medirá la sobrecarga laboral se utilizará el instrumento. Hart y Staveland. (1988) adaptado por Edith Margot Gonzales Salazar por lo cual el estudio comprende un total de 68 preguntas agrupados en 4 dimensiones. Las respuestas son dicotómicas para cada pregunta, si la respuesta es SI = 1 y NO = 0, Para medir la variable 2: Autocuidado en enfermeras se utilizará el instrumento denominado Test de autoevaluación que estará conformada por 31 preguntas. Dicho instrumento fue un cuestionario adaptado y modificado en base al que se encuentra anexado en la Guía de Universidades saludables realizado en el estudio de Martínez y Sáez (2007) de Chile titulado “Conductas de Autocuidado en estudiantes universitarios residentes del complejo de hogares Huachocopihue de la UACh, 2006”, el cual fue modificado y adaptado por la autora Hancco Gutierrez en base a la teoría de Tobón y García para la calificación. Las respuestas son politómicas presenta dos dimensiones cuyo valor es si la respuesta es A = 2, B = 1, C = 0. en una escala de Likert.
