Resumen
The main objective of this study is "to determine how work stress is related to cardiovascular risks in the nursing staff of the critical area of a hospital in Callao, 2024". Methodologically, it is an applied research, quantitative approach, non-experimental, cross-sectional and descriptivecorrelational design. As population and sample, the total number of nursing professionals in the critical area of a hospital in Callao was considered; therefore, a sample of 80 nurses was used. For data collection, two Likert scale questionnaires will be used, one for each variable; for the work stress variable, the instrument will have 15 items, which will be aimed at measuring dimensions such as workload, interpersonal relationships and personal development; for the second variable, cardiovascular risks, the instrument will have 12 items, which will be aimed at measuring dimensions such as lifestyles, biomedical factors and family and genetic predisposition. Regarding data processing and analysis, the research will use descriptive analysis, which will be supported by the Microsoft Excel program, which will show the results in tables and figures, and for the inferential analysis the SPSS software will be used, since it will allow determining the degree of relationship of the study variables, through the Spearman statistical test, thus achieving the objectives set and the verification of the hypotheses proposed.
Resumen
El presente estudio tiene como objetivo principal “determinar cómo se relaciona el estrés laboral con los riesgos cardiovasculares en el personal de enfermería del área crítica de un hospital del Callao, 2024”. Metodológicamente es una investigación de tipo aplicada, enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, transversal y descriptivocorrelacional. Como población y muestra se considera al total del profesional de enfermería del área crítica de un hospital del Callao; por lo que se utilizó una muestra de 80 enfermeras. Para la recolección de datos se utilizará dos cuestionarios bajo la escala de Likert, uno para cada variable, para la variable estrés laboral el instrumento contará con 15 ítems los mismos que estarán direccionados a medir las dimensiones, tales como la carga laboral, las relaciones interpersonales, y el desarrollo personal; para la segunda variable, riesgos cardiovasculares el instrumento estará conformado por 12 ítems, los cuales estarán dirigidos a medir las dimensiones tales como los estilos de vida, factores biomédicos y predisposición familiar y genética. En cuanto al procesamiento y análisis de datos, la investigación empleará el análisis descriptivo, por ello se apoyará del programa Microsoft Excel, el cual permitirá mostrar los resultados mediante tablas y figuras, así mismo para el análisis inferencial se empleará el software SPSS, debido a que permitirá determinar el grado de relación de las variables de estudio, a través de la prueba estadística Spearman, así logrando cumplir los objetivos planteados y la comprobación de las hipótesis planteadas.
