Stress and academic performance in students of the nursing internship of the Norbert Wiener University, 2022

Abstract

The objective was to determine the relationship between stress level and academic performance in the students of the Nursing Internship at Norbert Wiener University, 2022. Quantitative, non-experimental and correlational research. It was considered as a population sample of 148 students of the Nursing internship of the Norbert Wiener University, 2022. The results showed inverse and mean relationships between academic performance and stressful situation (rho = -0.272; p = 0.001) and symptoms (reactions) (rho = -0.195; p = 0.018); while the relationship with strategies was positive (rho = 0.178; p = 0.030). At the end, it was concluded with the existence of an inverse, mean and significant relationship between the variables (rho = - 0.264; p = 0.001).

Objetivo: Determinar la relación que existe entre el nivel de estrés y el rendimiento académico en los estudiantes del internado de Enfermería de la Universidad Norbert Wiener, 2022. Material y métodos: El enfoque metodológico utilizado fue cuantitativo, no experimental y correlacional. La muestra fueron 148 estudiantes del internado, siendo seleccionadas por criterios de inclusión y exclusión de la investigación. En los resultados se evidenciaron relaciones inversas y medias entre el rendimiento académico, situación estresante y síntomas; mientras que la relación con estrategias fue positiva, al finalizar, se concluyó con la existencia de una relación inversa, media y significativa entre las variables.
