Knowledge of biosafety measures and application for patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment in the health personnel of the hemodialysis unit of a public hospital in the Ancash Region in 2023

Resumen
Objective: To determine the relationship between knowledge of biosafety measures and application for patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment in the health personnel of the hemodialysis unit of a public hospital in the Ancash Region in 2023. Methods: The research will be quantitative and will use the hypothetical-deductive method, the type of research will be applied, the design will be non-experimental, the cut will be cross-sectional and the level will be correlational. As for the population, 60 people who are part of the health personnel, including nurses and technical staff of the hemodialysis area of the hospital in the Ancash region, Peru, will be considered. Regarding the technique to be used, the survey and observation will be used, and as for the instrument, the questionnaire and the checklist will be used. The instruments were previously validated and are questionnaires that will measure the variables, namely: the questionnaire to measure knowledge of biosafety measures which has a reliability coefficient of 0.857 Cronbach's Alpha and the checklist to measure the applicability of these measures which has a coefficient of 0.820 Cronbach's Alpha; the results are compiled in a table to obtain the necessary statistics and, if necessary, interpreted with the help of tables and graphs. Finally, the degree of association between both variables is evaluated using the Spearman coefficient, which corresponds to the stated objective.
Resumen
Metodología: La investigación será cuantitativa y empleará el método hipotético-deductivo, el tipo de investigación será aplicada, el diseño será no experimental, el corte será transversal y el nivel será correlacional. En cuanto a la población, se tomará en cuenta a 60 personas que forman parte del personal de salud entre enfermeras y personal técnico del área de hemodiálisis del hospital de la región Ancash, Perú. Con respecto a la técnica a utilizar será la encuesta y la observación y en cuanto al instrumento se emplearán el cuestionario y la lista de cotejo. Los instrumentos fueron previamente validados y medirán ambas variables, a saber: el cuestionario para medir el conocimiento sobre las medidas de bioseguridad que cuenta con un coeficiente de confiabilidad de 0,857 de Alpha de Cronbach y la lista de cotejo para medir la aplicación de dichas medidas que cuenta con un coeficiente de 0,820 de Alpha de Cronbach; los resultados se recopilan en una tabla para obtener las estadísticas necesarias y, si es necesario, se interpretan con ayuda de tablas y gráficos. Finalmente, se evalúa el grado de asociación entre ambas variables mediante el coeficiente de Spearman, el cual corresponde al objetivo planteado.
