Cervical cancer is considered a critical problem worldwide, since it is the second type of cancer with the highest incidence in women, that is, it corresponds to 10% of all these cases. Objective: Determine the impact that coping strategies have on the quality of life of patients with cervical cancer receiving chemotherapy in a Hospital in the Callao region, 2023. Methods: Quantitative, cross-sectional and correlational research. The population will be made up of 80 women who suffer from cervical cancer and receive chemotherapy; the entire population will be used for the sample. The technique to be used will be the survey and two questionnaires as an instrument; The first will measure the coping strategies developed by Apaza and Alejandro in Lima, and the second will measure the quality of life, which was developed by Martínez, both of which have validation and statistical reliability of 0.87 and 0.80 respectively. To apply both instruments, we will proceed to request permission from the Hospital authorities, then we will collect the data which will receive statistical treatment using the SPSS software that will allow us to apply Spearman's Rho test to determine whether or not there is a relationship between the variables.
Resumen
El cáncer de cuello uterino es considerado una problemática crítica a nivel mundial, ya que es el segundo tipo de cáncer con más incidencia en las féminas, es decir, corresponde al 10% del total de estos casos. Objetivo: Determinar el impacto que tienen las estrategias de afrontamiento sobre la calidad de vida de las pacientes con cáncer de cuello uterino que reciben quimioterapia en un Hospital de la región Callao, 2023. Métodos: Investigación cuantitativa, transversal y correlacional. La población la conformarán 80 mujeres que padecen cáncer de cuello uterino y que reciben quimioterapia, para la muestra se utilizará la cantidad completa de la población. La técnica a utilizarse será la encuesta y como instrumento dos cuestionarios; el primero medirá las estrategias de afrontamiento desarrollado por Apaza y Alejandro en Lima, y el segundo la calidad de vida que fue el elaborado por Martínez ambos cuentan con validación y confiablidad estadística de 0.87 y 0.80 respectivamente. Para aplicar ambos instrumentos se procederá a solicitar permiso de las autoridades del Hospital, a continuación, recolectaremos los datos lo que recibirán tratamiento estadístico utilizando el software SPSS que nos permitirá aplicar la prueba de Rho de Spearman para determinar si existe o no relación entre las variables.
