Vaccines represent a crucial advance in global health by effectively preventing diseases such as polio, measles and smallpox, benefiting the health of children. Nurses play an essential role in the immunization process, providing support in various aspects. The objective of the study is to investigate the relationship between knowledge about immunization and compliance with the vaccination schedule in mothers of children under 1 year of age at the Mazamari Health Center in 2023. The research follows a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational design and a sample of 162 mothers out of a total of 280. A validated questionnaire is used to measure knowledge, with high reliability demonstrated by a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.796, and a checklist based on a resolution of the Ministry of Health of Peru to evaluate compliance with the vaccination schedule. The statistical analysis reveals a significant correlation between knowledge about immunization and compliance with the vaccination schedule, highlighting the importance of education in promoting immunization.
