Resumen
The present investigation has as a general objective to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the practices of the nursing professional to prevent pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation in the Intensive Care Unit of the Hospital De Chancay in the year 2023, with a quantitative approach methodology, applied type, hypothetical deductive method, non-experimental and correlational design made up of a total of 50 nurses who work in the intensive care unit who meet the inclusion criteria and exclusion, the technique will be the survey for the first variable of knowledge and the observation for the second variable of practices. As part of the instrument, a questionnaire of closed questions with alternatives will be used to find the correct answer, and the observation guide with a yes answer. and not in which they have been validated by five expert judges obtaining an adequate validity for both variables, likewise the degree of reliability was carried out by the kuder de richarson KR20 with a value of 0.92 for the knowledge variable and the other value of 0.76 for the practice variable.
Resumen
La presente investigación tiene como objetivo general determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y las prácticas del profesional de enfermería para prevenir la neumonía asociada a ventilación mecánica en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos del Hospital De Chancay - 2023, con metodología de enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicada, método deductivo hipotético, diseño no experimental y correlacional conformada por un total de 50 enfermeras que laboran en la unidad de cuidados intensivos que cumplen con los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, la técnica será la encuesta para la primera variable de conocimiento y la observación para la segunda variable de prácticas como parte del instrumento se utilizará un cuestionario de preguntas cerradas con alternativas para encontrar la respuesta correcta, y la guía de observación con respuesta de si y no en la cual han sido validados por cinco jueces de expertos obteniendo una validez adecuada para ambas variables, así mismo el grado de confiabilidad se realizó el Kuder de Richarson KR20 con valor de 0.92 para la variable de conocimiento y el otro valor de 0.76 para la variable de prácticas.
