Resumen
Objective: Determine knowledge about type 2 diabetes mellitus and its relationship with the practice of self-care in older adults. Materials and methods: a study framed in the hypothetical deductive, quantitative, cross-sectional method of correlational scope. The population will be made up of 95 older adults who attend the Chancay hospital in approximately one month. For the research, a census sample will be chosen taking into account the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data will be collected through the survey and as an instrument the questionnaire previously validated and reliable in the Peruvian state; After the data has been collected, a data matrix will be created and then the analysis will be carried out through descriptive and inferential statistics, and the hypotheses will be tested with Spermam's RHO test. Throughout the research, a consistent research conduct will be maintained. to ethical principles.
Resumen
Materiales y métodos: un estudio enmarcado en el método hipotético deductivo, cuantitativo, de corte transversal de alcance correlacional. La población estará conformada por 95 adultos mayores que asisten al hospital de Chancay en aproximadamente un mes, para la investigación se optara por una muestra censal tomando en cuenta los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Los datos se recogerán a través de la encuesta y como instrumento el cuestionario previamente validado y con confiabilidad en el estado peruano; después de recolectados los datos se procederá a realizar una matriz de datos para luego concretar el análisis a través de la estadística descriptiva e inferencial, y se comprobaran las hipótesis con la prueba RHO de Spermam, Durante toda la investigación se mantendrá una conducta de investigación apegada a los principios éticos
