Introduction: Nurses play a fundamental role in breast cancer screening at the first level of care. They are the health professionals who have the greatest contact with the population, which allows them to identify women at higher risk for this disease and offer them appropriate screening tests. Objective: To determine how the level of knowledge of breast cancer is related to preventive practices in women users of the Chacra Colorada health center in Breña, Lima - 2023. Methods: applied, quantitative, correlational and cross-sectional study. The sample will be made up of 100 users who are treated at the gynecology outpatient clinic of the health center. The survey will be used to apply two dichotomous scale questionnaires adapted by Reyes for the target population, which are validated and reliable to measure the variables in question. The data collected will be processed in SPSS 25 and the hypotheses will be tested using Spearman's correlation coefficient statistical test given the qualitative nature of the variables.
Resumen
Las enfermeras juegan un papel fundamental en la detección del cáncer de mama en el primer nivel de atención. Son las profesionales sanitarias que tienen un mayor contacto con la población, lo que les permite identificar a las mujeres con mayor riesgo de padecer esta enfermedad y ofrecerles las pruebas de detección adecuadas. Objetivo: Determinar cómo el nivel de conocimiento del cáncer de mama se relaciona con las prácticas preventivas en mujeres usuarias del centro de salud Chacra Colorada de Breña, Lima – 2023. Métodos: estudio de tipo aplicado, cuantitativo, correlacional y transversal. La muestra estará constituida por 100 usuarias que se atienden en el consultorio externo de ginecología del establecimiento de salud. Se utilizará la encuesta para aplicar dos cuestionarios en escala de tipo dicotómicas adaptados por Reyes para la población objetivo, que están validados y son confiables para medir las variables en cuestión. Los datos recolectados serán procesados en SPSS 25 y las hipótesis se probarán usando la prueba estadística del coeficiente de correlación de Spearman dado la naturaleza cualitativa de las variables.
