Quality of nursing care and patient satisfaction in the cardiology hospitalization area of a hospital in Cajamarca, 2023

Objective: To determine the relationship between the quality of nursing care and the level of satisfaction of parents in the Pediatric Service of a Hospital of the Ministry of Health of Lima, 2023. Methods: The type of research will be quantitative, descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional; the sample will be constituted by 50 patients hospitalized in the cardiology area of the hospital; the technique for data collection was the survey and two instruments were used. The first to evaluate the quality of nursing care consists of 35 items, established in three quality components: human component, technical-scientific and environment. The second one to evaluate patient satisfaction through expectations with 22 items and perceptions with 22 items, which are organized according to the dimension of the satisfaction variable: reliability, responsiveness, safety, empathy, tangible aspects. The Rho Spearman index will be used to determine whether there is a linear relationship between two variables at the ordinal level, which is not random and is statistically significant.
Resumen
El tipo de investigación será cuantitativo, descriptivo, correlacional y de corte transversal; la muestra estará constituida por 50 pacientes que se encuentran hospitalizados en el área de cardiología del hospital; la técnica para la recolección de datos fue la encuesta y se emplearon dos instrumentos: uno para evaluar la calidad de atención de enfermería con 35 ítems y mide tres dimensiones: técnico científica, humana y entorno; el otro evalúa la satisfacción del paciente a través de las de expectativas con 22 ítems y las percepciones con 22 ítems y miden cinco dimensiones: fiabilidad, capacidad de respuesta, seguridad, empatía, aspectos tangibles. Se empleará el índice de Rho Spearman, ya que se busca determinar si existe una relación lineal entre dos variables a nivel ordinal, que no sea aleatoria y que tenga una significancia estadística.
