Dyspnea as a symptom advances and affects the patient’s quality of life during and after the pandemic. Quality of life worsens with low, moderate, and severe impacts in line with the level of dyspnea. The pandemic reflects a community health impression, showing drastic alterations in the customs and lifestyle of people who suffered from severe respiratory conditions, many of whom were hospitalized. This pathology manifests in diverse ways months after infection, such as in post-COVID-19 syndrome, which is defined by persistent clinical signs and symptoms lasting over 12 weeks without alternative diagnoses. In recovering physiological functions for daily life, each patient requires more time for restoration. Given these findings, it is important to prevent readmission to the hospital by aiming to reduce functional disability and ensure patients can adapt their physical activities, improving their quality of life.
