    This research had how objective to determine the relationship that exists between interpersonal relationships and job performance in the nursing staff of the emergency service of a police hospital. The research method was hypothetical – deductive with a quantitative, descriptive, correlational, applied, non-experimental approach. 82 nurses were surveyed using questionnaires that measure interpersonal relationships and work performance, developed by Muñoz (2015) and Campos (2017) respectively, which were updated and validated through expert judgment and with an alpha reliability test of Cronbach of 0.70 in the interpersonal relations instrument and 0.80 in the job performance instrument. The result shows that 48.8% of the nursing staff have a bad level of interpersonal relationships and only 29.3% have a good level. Among the dimensions of interpersonal relationships, the treatment dimension highlighted that 59.8% have a bad level, without However, with respect to work performance, it is observed that 35.4% of the staff present a deficient level and 31.7% an efficient level. Concluding, through Spearman's compensation coefficient, p=0.002<0.01 is evident, a significance value that is interpreted as a result of the approval of the alternative hypothesis, that is, there is a positive and significant relationship between interpersonal relationships and job performance. of the emergency nursing staff of a police hospital 2023.
