Ítem Acceso abierto Cooping and adaptation capacity and their educational level of the family factor in the agony of the older adult in the “San José” Geriatric Police Hospital – Lima 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-10-11) Berrocal Gutiérrez, María Magaly; Hermoza Moquillaza, Rocío VictoriaObjectives: “To determine the relationship between the ability to cope and adapt with the educational level of the family member in the face of the agony of the Elderly.” Materials and methods: In this research the design is descriptive, non-experimental, crosssectional. The population was 81 family members. The survey technique was used, and “the Callista Roy Coping and Adaptation Process measurement scale” (33), as an instrument that was validated through Cronbach's Alpha of 0.874. Results: It is demonstrated that there is a relationship between the ability to cope and adapt with the educational level of the family member in the face of the agony of the Elderly, through the P-value = 0.001 of the Rho Spearman correlation coefficient test; Likewise, this test presents rho = 0.363, which shows a low-grade and statistically significant direct relationship between the variables. In this way, it is concluded that the ability to cope and adapt will be according to the educational level in which the family member is. Since the educational level will measure the difficulty or ease that the older adult will have to understand the health situation that the older adult is experiencing. in agony.Ítem Acceso abierto Geriatric home care correlated to the hospital readmission of the prostrate older adult, geriatric police hospital “san josé“ period 2016-2017(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-11-18) Ochoa Huárac, Elizabeth; Millones Gomez, Segundo GermanObjective: To determine the correlation ship of geriatric home care in hospital readmissions of the prostrate older adult of the San José Geriatric Police Hospital in the period 2016-2017. Results: the correlation of ADOGE in its medical care dimension with hospital readmissions with a p> 0.05, showing that there is no correlation of variables, and regarding the correlation of ADOGE in its dimension nursing care with hospital readmissions, they indicate a value of p> 0.05, indicating that there is no evidence of association between the variables. Conclusion: Geriatric home care is not correlated to total hospital readmissions, because its statistical value of p did not reach significance (p <0.05).Ítem Acceso abierto Safety culture of the elderly patient and prevention of adverse events of the health professional at the San José Geriatric Police Hospital in Lima, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-04-02) Millones Tadeo, Fany Victoria; Millones Gomez, Segundo GermanThe present study focused on analyzing the relationship between the safety culture of the elderly patient and the prevention of adverse events of the health professional at the San José Geriatric Police Hospital in Lima. To evaluate the safety culture, the Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture questionnaire from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality was used, composed of 3 sections, which assess 51 items that address 12 dimensions, and where the measurement scale was validated using criteria of relevance, relevance and clarity, supported by Cronbach's alpha coefficient. Statistical analysis was based on Spearman's Rho coefficient. Among the main findings, a positive perception stood out in various dimensions related to the safety culture and the prevention of adverse events at the PNP San José Geriatric Hospital. A significant correlation was found between the safety culture of the elderly patient and the prevention of adverse events, as well as with their respective dimensions.
