Antecedentes. Los determinantes estructurales e intermedios de la salud influyen en la salud de los pobladores y en la transmisión de la tuberculosis (TBC), siendo la TBC una de las enfermedades contagiosas con mayores índices de morbimortalidad en el Perú. Objetivo. Se identificaron los determinantes estructurales e intermedios de la salud que influyeron en la transmisión de la tuberculosis de los pacientes del PCT del Centro de Salud San Sebastián de la Jurisdicción de Lima Centro en el año 2019. Población de estudio: participaron 77 pacientes 23 del sexo femenino y 54 del sexo masculino, considerando los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Materiales y métodos: El estudio fue de tipo analítico, cuantitativo, aplicado y explicativo, se utilizó la Encuesta de determinantes estructurales e intermedios de la salud, validada por juicio de expertos, utilizando el programa SPSS versión 21. Resultados: El 68.8 % de pacientes alcanzaron una educación secundaria, 72.7% de los pacientes fueron pobres, el 76.6% de los pacientes no fueron beneficiarios de ningún programa social; el 46.8% de los pacientes ganaba entre 500 y 900 soles como ingreso familiar mensual y el 55.8% de pacientes refirieron riesgos laborales físicos; el 49.4% de pacientes refirió comer una vez por semana alimentos con aporte de hierro, el 61.0% de pacientes refirió contar con apoyo nutricional del PCT subvencionado por el gobierno local; el 61% refirió consumir alimentos 3 veces al día, el 45.5% si tuvo contacto con metales pesados (plomo, cobre, mercurio).
Resumen
Background. The structural and intermediate determinants of health influence the health of the inhabitants and the transmission of tuberculosis (TB), with TB being one of the contagious diseases with the highest rates of morbidity and mortality in Peru. Objective. The structural and intermediate determinants of health that influenced the transmission of tuberculosis in the Tuberculosis Program of Control (PCT) patients of the San Sebastian Health Center of the Lima Center Jurisdiction in 2019 were identified. Study population: 77 patients participated, 23 of the gender female and 54 male, considering the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Materials and methods: The study was analytical, quantitative, applied and explanatory. The Survey of structural and intermediate determinants of health was used, validated by expert judgment, using the SPSS version 21 program. Results: 68.8% of patients they reached a secondary education, 72.7% of the patients were poor, 76.6% of the patients were not beneficiaries of any social program; 46.8% of the patients earned between 500 and 900 soles as monthly family income and 55.8% of patients reported physical occupational hazards; 49.4% of patients reported eating iron-containing foods once a week, 61.0% of patients reported having nutritional support from the PCT subsidized by the local government; 61% reported consuming food 3 times a day, 45.5% if they had contact with heavy metals (lead, copper, mercury).
