According to the scientific inquiry, the purpose was to determine the detection and genotype of the human papillomavirus and its relation with the results of cytology and visual inspection with acetic acid in women between 30 and 50 years old in the district of Moquegua 2021 in a sample capacity of 135 women between 30 and 50 years old in the department of Moquegua through the mediation of a methodological perspective with a quantifiable approach, of basic typology, with the use of a method of hypothesis and deduction and without experimentation by design. In addition, observation was used as a technique and the observation sheet was used for the instrumentation of analysis. According to the findings, significant correlations were found for HPV 16 and cytology (p = .003) and visual inspection with acetic acid (p = .003); however, no correlations were found for HPV 18 due to the presence of a p-value greater than .05 with cytology (p = .069) and visual inspection with acetic acid (p = .205). Thus, these findings demonstrate the need to address diagnostic and follow-up protocols for HPV 16, as well as the need to review the role of HPV 18 in cervical health.

(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-08-08) Alcántara Chávez, Ana Consuelo; Benites Castillo, Santiago Moises
The objective of the study was to determine the relationship between intimate partner violence and family functionality in young people from a private university in Lima - 2022. It had a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, cross-sectional and correlational. The CADRI and the family APGAR were applied to a sample of 145 young people (25 men and 120 women). A negative and weak correlation was found (Rho=- 0.171, p≤0.05) between family functionality and violence perpetrated and suffered. In the analysis according to sociodemographic factors, family functionality correlated negatively and significantly with three dimensions of the violence suffered: sexual, relational, and physical in women, and with two dimensions: relational and physical in young people aged 19 to 21, 22 to 24 years old and in the health group. Likewise, between family functionality and two dimensions of the violence exercised: verbal-emotional and physical in women, in young people from 19 to 21 years old and in the health group. All groups according to sex, age and study area presented high levels of violence exerted (ranges from 38.6% to 50.0%) and violence suffered (ranges from 45.8% to 60.0%); with the exception of the group from 22 to 24 years (low level). All groups presented severe family dysfunction. It was concluded that the greater the partner violence suffered or exercised, the lower the family functionality in young people, so it is recommended to develop preventive programs for partner violence at the university level that consider the promotion of healthy families.

(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-03-26) Martínez Alvarez, Blanca Magnolia; Benites Castillo, Santiago Moises
Objectives: Build a theoretical model that allows contextualizing and understanding the social, medical and legal situation of women confined with children in two prisons in Lima, 2020. Materials and methods: The quantitative-qualitative study, non-experimental design, sequential explanatory. The data collection form for the quantitative phase and the in-depth interview guide for the qualitative phase were applied. The sample from the qualitative phase (n = 13) represented a subset of the population-sample from the quantitative phase (n = 58). The absolute and relative frequencies of the quantitative variables were calculated, the qualitative data were subjected to axial coding and contrast analysis of data. Meta-inferences from both analyzes constituted the final product of the study. Results: The social, medical and legal situation was characterized by various mostly negative experiences, related to different individual aspects and the conditions of confinement and prison treatment. Serious deficiencies perceived in the health care of inmates and children stand out, with emphasis on mistreatment and indifference on the part of the staff. Other intervening factors were identified in the experiential context studied. Conclusion: The results provide evidence of serious structural and organizational deficiencies that violate the fundamental rights of the population group studied. Government efforts to date are partial and insufficient. Sustainable policies and programs are urgently needed that prioritize quality health care and adequate prison treatment for these people with an emphasis on preventive-promotional actions. There is a need for evidence-based interventions to reduce the harmful effect of childhood incarceration.

(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-04-30) Garavito Chang, Enna Lucila; Benites Castillo, Santiago Moises
This research aimed to determine the relationship between mineralization of the stylohyoid ligament and the characteristics of Eagle Syndrome and Aubin’s styalgia in patients treated at the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen National Hospital in 2019. The study followed a qualitative approach, using a hypothetical-deductive method with an observational, analytical, retrospective, correlational, and cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 24 digital panoramic radiographs from patients aged 40 years and older, selected through non-probability convenience sampling. Mineralization of the stylohyoid ligament was evaluated according to the Langlais classification (elongated, pseudoarticulated, and segmented), as well as the presence of clinical manifestations associated with Eagle Syndrome and Aubin’s styalgia. The results showed a higher prevalence of the elongated type of mineralization, mainly in women over 50 years old, with a predominance of bilateral cases. However, no statistically significant relationship was found between the types of mineralization and the presence of Eagle Syndrome or Aubin’s styalgia, nor according to age or gender. It is concluded that although stylohyoid ligament mineralization is frequent, it does not constitute a determining factor for the clinical diagnosis of these pathologies in the studied population.

(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-02-09) Pérez Alvarado, Otto Alex; Benites Castillo, Santiago Moises
In the third age, in the mouth we observe loss of teeth, dentists restore them with removable dental prostheses and recover the capacities: functional, masticatory and aesthetic. The use of removable prostheses causes pathologies, one of the most prevalent is fibrous hyperplasia, among the risk factors of this disease we consider in this study, the state of conservation and the installation time that the removable prosthesis has. The objective of our research is to determine the relationship and influence between these risk factors and the appearance of fibrous hyperplasia. We developed an explanatory correlational descriptive study applied to a population of 360 patients whose sample was 93 of both sexes in the older adults of the Ignacia Rodulfo Vda. De Canevaro Hostel located in the Rímac district in 2020. To obtain the results obtained, multiple analysis tests were carried out, Binary Logistic Regression for the hypothesis where the state of conservation of the prosthesis is significant p = 0.000 and a WALD = 18.192, and acts as a protective factor for fibrous hyperplasia to occur (OR = 0.036, 95% CI 0.008 – 0.165) and a Bivariate Analysis through the Chi square test to find the correlation between the variables. As a conclusion of the study, it was shown that both risk factors influence the formation of fibrous hyperplasia and there is a relationship between these risk factors and the formation of fibrous hyperplasia.

(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-01-27) Avila Vargas Machuca, Jeannette Giselle; Benites Castillo, Santiago Moises
The objective was to evaluate the magnitude and trend of inequality in the Neonatal Mortality Rate (NMR) generated by poverty, education and affiliation to health insurance, between departments of Peru, years 2011-2019. We did an ecological study based on the analysis of social inequalities in health. We calculate absolute (GA), relative (GR) inequality gap metrics and social gradient metrics: Slope Inequality Index (SII) and Health Concentration Index (CI). We use population survey data. We found higher NMR in departments with greater poverty, less education and greater affiliation to health insurance. About the NMR generated by poverty, GA went from 8.13 to 2.24 between 2011-2019 and the GR went from 2.08 to 1.31. The GA of the NMR according to education went from 6.08 to 2.31 and the GR from 1.83 to 1.28. The SII for 2019 was -4.03 for poverty, -3.74 for education and 2.90 for affiliation to health insurance. The CI registered values close to zero and with a tendency to decrease; 0.07 for poverty, 0.06 for education and 0, 05 for health insurance affiliation. We conclude that social inequality in neonatal mortality registered among the departments of Peru decreased between 2011 and 2019, reaching values of low magnitude. The Ministry of Health must continue to reduce neonatal mortality by promoting interventions with a greater population focus.
