Adicción al internet y actividad física en estudiantes de una Institución Educativa Lima 2026

Abstract

La evolución de la tecnología y el ambiente digital de hoy han hecho que la red se vuelva un asunto global sumamente importante para las personas. Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre la adicción al internet y la actividad física en estudiantes de secundaria de la Institución Educativa 1021 República Federal de Alemania, Lima durante el año 2026. Metodología: El estudio fue cuantitativo, de tipo aplicado, no experimental, de corte transversal y correlacional, en una total de 106 estudiantes. Se aplicó el Test de Adicción al Internet (TAI) y el cuestionario de actividad física para adolescentes. El análisis estadístico se realizó mediante el coeficiente Rho de Spearman, con un nivel de significancia de 0,05. Resultados: Se evidenció una correlación negativa y estadísticamente significativa entre la adicción al internet y la actividad física (rho = –0,368; p = 0,00014). Asimismo, se identificaron relaciones inversas significativas entre la actividad física y las dimensiones conductual (rho = –0,331), emocional (rho = –0,356), social (rho = –0,402) y cognitiva (rho = –0,379) de la adicción al internet (p < 0,01). Conclusión: Existe una relación inversa significativa entre la adicción al internet y la actividad física, evidenciando que un mayor nivel de adicción se asocia con una menor práctica de actividad física en los estudiantes evaluados.

The evolution of technology and today's digital environment have made the internet an extremely important global issue for people. Objective: To determine the relationship between internet addiction and physical activity among secondary school students from Educational Institution 1021 República Federal de Alemania, Lima during the year 2025. Methodology: Quantitative, applied, non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational study. The sample consisted of 106 students. The Internet Addiction Test (IAT) and a school physical activity questionnaire were applied. Data were analyzed using Spearman’s rho with a significance level of 0.05. Results: A negative and statistically significant correlation was found between internet addiction and physical activity (rho = –0.368; p = 0.00014). In addition, significant inverse correlations were observed between physical activity and the behavioral (rho = 0.331), emotional (rho = –0.356), social (rho = –0.402), and cognitive (rho = –0.379) dimensions of internet addiction (p < 0.01). Conclusion: There is a significant inverse relationship between internet addiction and physical activity, indicating that higher levels of internet addiction are associated with lower levels of physical activity among the students.
