Currently, it is relevant to address the study of stress and coping among nursing professionals to identify the variables and provide insights to improve the quality of patient care. Objective: To determine the relationship between stress and coping among nursing graduates working in the Intensive Care Unit of the Central Hospital of the Air Force – 2022. Methodology: The study will be quantitative, correlational, non-experimental, and cross-sectional. The population and sample will consist of all nursing professionals working in-person in the Intensive Care Unit, equivalent to 57 nursing professionals meeting the inclusion criteria: all nursing professionals working in the area and agreeing to participate in the study. The exclusion criteria include nursing professionals with less than one year of work experience and those on leave or vacation. The technique for both variables will be a survey. The instrument for the stress variable will be the Nursing Stress Scale (NSS) by Pamela Gray Toft and James G. Anderson from 1981, adapted to Peru by Fátima del Rosario Retuerto et al. in 2021, with a reliability of 0.79 Cronbach's Alpha. For the coping variable, the Coping Questionnaire (CAE) by Bonifacio Sandin and Paloma Chorot from 2003, adapted to Peru by Gianina Sotomayor Pérez in 2018, with a reliability of 0.89 Cronbach's Alpha, will be used. Data will be processed using Excel V.2016 and SPSS V.25. Results will include frequency tables, level and percentage graphs, and Spearman's Rho coefficient for variable correlation.
Resumen
En la actualidad es pertinente abordar el estudio del estrés y el afrontamiento del profesional de enfermería para conocer las variables y brindar aportes que mejoren la calidad de atención al paciente. Objetivo: Determinar “la relación entre el estrés y afrontamiento en licenciados de enfermería que laboran en la unidad de cuidados intensivos del Hospital Central de la Fuerza Aérea – 2022. Metodología: El estudio será cuantitativo, correlacional, no experimental transversal, la población y muestra constituida por todos los profesionales de enfermería que laboran de manera presencial en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos, equivalente a 57 profesionales de enfermería, las mismas que cumplen con los criterios de inclusión a todo los profesionales de enfermería que laboran en el área y se encuentren de acuerdo en participar en el estudio de investigación y, en los criterios de exclusión se consideran a los profesionales de enfermería que laboran menos de un año y que se encuentren de licencia o de vacaciones. La técnica para las dos variables será la encuesta. Asimismo, como instrumento para la variable estrés se utilizará la escala Nursing Stress Scale (NSS) de los autores Pamela Gray Toft y James G. Anderson del año 1981 y adaptado al Perú por Fátima del Rosario Retuerto et al., en al año 2021, el cual tiene una confiabilidad de 0,79 Alfa de Cronbach y, para la variable afrontamiento se utilizará el cuestionario de afrontamiento (CAE) de los autores Bonifacio Sandin y Paloma Chorot del año 2003 y adaptado al Perú por Gianina Sotomayor Pérez en el año 2018, presenta una confiabilidad de 0,89 Alfa de Cronbach, lo que indica una alta confiabilidad en los instrumentos. Para el procesamiento de datos se empleará el Excel V. 2016 y SPSS V. 25. Asimismo, para los resultados se utilizarán tablas de frecuencias y gráficos de niveles y porcentaje, así como para la correlación de variables se utilizará el coeficiente de Rho de Spearman”.
