The present research work aims to determine the level of knowledge related to the attitude towards exclusive breastfeeding in first-time mothers who attend the Growth and Development Clinic (CRED) of the San Luis Health Center in 2021, hoping to contribute to first-time mothers having a better attitude and increasing their knowledge by inducing the practice of exclusive breastfeeding. The proposed method is a Hypothetical Deductive Study of Descriptive, Prospective Design with a Quantitative Approach since the dimensions of the variables will be measured: Level of Knowledge and Attitude on exclusive breastfeeding. The population subject to study is fifty (50) first-time mothers who attended the CRED office and to whom two Instrument No. 1 will be applied: Level of knowledge on exclusive breastfeeding. The instrument was developed by the authors Chuquichanca and Uculmana (2018), the questionnaire is divided into three dimensions such as the importance and benefit of EBF, and breastfeeding practices. Instrument No. 2: Attitude towards exclusive breastfeeding. The Iowa Infant Feeding Attitudes Scale developed by de la Mora and Russell (1999) will be used. The questionnaire is divided into three dimensions such as Predisposition towards EBF, on artificial breastfeeding, and related to the psychosocial and health component.
Resumen
El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como Objetivo Determinar el nivel de conocimiento relacionado a la actitud sobre la lactancia materna exclusiva en madres primerizas que acuden al Consultorio de crecimiento y desarrollo (CRED) del Centro de Salud San Luis en el año 2021, esperando con el mismo contribuir a que las madres primerizas presenten una mejor actitud e incrementen sus conocimientos induciendo a la práctica de la lactancia materna exclusiva. El Método propuesto es un Estudio Hipotético Deductivo de Diseño Descriptivo, Prospectivo con Enfoque Cuantitativo por cuanto se medirán las dimensiones de las variables: Nivel de Conocimiento y Actitud sobre lactancia materna exclusiva. la Población sujeta de estudio es de cincuenta (50) madres primerizas que acudieron al consultorio de CRED y a quienes se aplicarán dos instrumento No1: Nivel de conocimiento sobre lactancia materna exclusiva. El instrumento fue elaborado por los autores Chuquichanca y Uculmana (2018), el cuestionario está dividido en tres dimensiones como son la importancia y beneficio de la LME, y las prácticas de amamantamiento. Instrumento No2: Actitud sobre lactancia materna exclusiva. Se utilizará la escala de Actitudes hacia la Alimentación Infantil de Iowa desarrollada por de la Mora y Russell (1999), el cuestionario está dividido en tres dimensiones como son Predisposición sobre la LME, sobre la Lactancia artificial, y relacionado al Componente psicosocial y de la salud.
