Nursing is a profession that involves a special mission in the health sector, given its level of interaction with patients and the humanized care that it gives to each of the people who come to hospital institutions, always in order to preserve the well-being and the life of the human being. Despite this, there are a variety of situations that they must continually face due to the intense workload, the lack of support from institutional authorities or the stressful situations to which they are exposed, situations that affect their quality of life and affect their job performance. This same scenario has been found in the emergency service of the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen Hospital, causing intense concern, since there is a risk of harming the level of care in said entity. OBJECTIVE: to determine the relationship between quality of life and work performance of nurses from the emergency service of the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen hospital-2023. MATERIALS AND METHODS: It will be a quantitative, basic, descriptivecorrelational study. There will be 80 nurses. The chosen technique is the survey and two questionnaires will be applied to measure the variables quality of life and job performance.
Resumen
La enfermería es una profesión que involucra una misión especial en el sector sanitario, dado su nivel de interacción con los pacientes y los cuidados humanizados que vuelca en cada una de las personas que acuden a las instituciones hospitalarias, siempre en aras de preservar el bienestar y la vida del ser humano. A pesar de ello, existen diversas situaciones que deben afrontar continuamente debido a la intensa carga laboral, el escaso apoyo de las autoridades institucionales o las estresantes situaciones a las que se ven expuestas, situaciones que afectan su calidad de vida y repercuten en su desempeño laboral. Este mismo panorama se ha encontrado en el servicio de emergencia del Hospital Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen, provocando una intensa preocupación, pues se corre el riesgo de perjudicar el nivel de atención en dicha entidad. OBJETIVO: determinar cuál es la relación entre calidad de vida y desempeño laboral del profesional de enfermería del servicio de emergencia del hospital Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen-2023. MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS: Será un estudio cuantitativo, básico, descriptivo-correlacional. Se contará con 80 enfermeras. La técnica elegida es la encuesta y se aplicarán dos cuestionarios para medir las variables calidad de vida y desempeño laboral
