The systematic reviews of the 10 scientific articles on the effectiveness of lidocaine to reduce the pain in the insertion of the nasogastric tube, 90% refer that lidocaine is effective in reducing the pain in the insertion of the nasogastric tube, only 10% report that it does not reduce the pain, concluding the administration of lidocaine, either in its different presentations as a gel, atomized or nebulized, reduces the pain always and when it is administered 5 minutes before each nasogastric tube insertion, being the most nebulized is effective as it reduces pain by up to 57.7%.

LAS REVISIONES SISTEMÁTICAS DE LOS 10 ARTÍCULOS CIENTÍFICOS SOBRE LA EFICACIA DE LA LIDOCAÍNA PARA DISMINUIR EL DOLOR EN LA INSERCIÓN DE LA SONDA NASOGÁSTRICA EL 90% REFIERE QUE LA LIDOCAÍNA SI ES EFECTIVO PARA DISMINUIR EL DOLOR EN LA INSERCIÓN DE SONDA NASOGÁSTRICA, SOLO EL 10 % REFIERE QUE NO DISMINUYE EL DOLOR DANDO COMO CONCLUSIÓN LA ADMINISTRACIÓN DE LIDOCAÍNA YA SEA EN SUS DIFERENTES PRESENTACIONES COMO GEL, ATOMIZADA O NEBULIZADA DISMINUYE EL DOLOR SIEMPRE Y CUANDO SE ADMINISTRE 5 MINUTOS ANTES DE CADA INSERCIÓN DE SONDA NASOGÁSTRICA, SIENDO EL MÁS EFECTIVO LA NEBULIZADA YA QUE DISMINUYE EL DOLOR HASTA EN UN 57.7%.
