Tracheostomy is a surgical procedure in which an opening is made in the trachea to prevent or relieve airway obstruction and/or serve as access for suctioning, mechanical ventilation, and other modes of oxygen delivery. Objective: Determine the relationship between knowledge and nursing care in tracheostomized patients in the Intensive Care Unit at a National Hospital in Lima, 2022. Methods: The research method will be hypothetical-deductive, the approach is quantitative, the type is descriptive. and design is correlational; The population and sample subject to study will be made up of 106 nurses; the sampling being non-probabilistic for convenience and intentional.
Resumen
La traqueostomía es un procedimiento quirúrgico en el que se realiza una abertura en la tráquea para prevenir o aliviar la obstrucción de las vías respiratorias y/o servir como acceso para la succión, ventilación mecánica y otros modos de suministro de oxígeno. Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el conocimiento y el cuidado de enfermería en pacientes traqueostomizados en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos en un Hospital Nacional de Lima, 2022. Métodos: El método de investigación será hipotético-deductivo, enfoque es cuantitativo, tipo es descriptivo, y diseño es correlacional; La población y muestra sujeta de estudio estará conformada por 106 enfermeros; siendo el muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia e intencional.
