Central sterilization is a key service within any hospital facility, since the processes carried out here involve cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing instruments and materials that can expose people to various nosocomial infections due to the existence of contagious microorganisms. However, throughout the present study, it has been possible to discover that nursing knowledge and practice have various deficiencies, a situation that is necessary to know more precisely, so that the pertinent decisions are made to optimize the functioning of this area. and safety is preserved. OBJECTIVE: Determine the relationship between knowledge and practices on nursing biosafety measures in the sterilization center of the Apoyo Huanta-Ayacucho Hospital, 2023.MATERIALS AND METHODS: the study will be quantitative, cross-sectional, non-experimental, descriptive and correlational; with a population based on 25 nurses, to whom a questionnaire will be applied to measure the knowledge variable and a checklist to measure biosafety practices.
Resumen
Central de esterilización es un servicio clave dentro de toda instalación hospitalaria, ya que los procesos que se desarrollan aquí involucran limpiar, desinfectar y esterilizar el instrumental y los materiales que pueden exponer a las personas a diversas infecciones nosocomiales debido a la existencia de microorganismos contagiosos. Sin embargo, a lo largo del presente estudio, se ha logrado descubrir que el conocimiento y la práctica de enfermería tienen diversas deficiencias, situación que es necesario conocer con mayor precisión, de manera que se asuman las decisiones pertinentes para optimizar el funcionamiento de esta área y se preserve la seguridad. OBJETIVO: Determinar la relación entre el conocimiento y las prácticas de medidas de bioseguridad de enfermería en central de esterilización del Hospital Apoyo Huanta- Ayacucho, 2023. MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS: el estudio será cuantitativo, transversal, no experimental, descriptivo y correlacional; con una población basada en 25 enfermeros, a los cuales se les aplicará un cuestionario para medir la variable conocimiento y una lista de verificación para medir las prácticas de bioseguridad.
