Objective: To determine how coping strategies are related to the level of overload in the family caregiver of the patient diagnosed with schizophrenia, at the Sarita Colonia-Callao Community Mental Health Center, 2022. Material and Method: This research study is of a quantitative approach of the applied type, non-experimental design, correlational cross-sectional. The population will be made up of 90 family caregivers of patients diagnosed with schizophrenia. For data collection, the survey technique will be used, 2 instruments will be applied, the first is the Coping Strategies Inventory Questionnaire (CSI) composed of 40 items, measured by the 5-point Likert-type scale consisting of 8 dimensions. : problem solving, cognitive restructuring, social support, emotional expression, problem avoidance, wishful thinking, social withdrawal and selfcriticism, the second The Zarit Caregiver Burden Scale questionnaire made up of 22 questions, with five response options according to the Likert scale, consists of three dimensions: impact of care, interpersonal relationship and self-efficacy expectations. Both instruments have values of validity and reliability, which makes it possible to ensure that the instrument is suitable for its application.
Resumen
Objetivo: Determinar cómo las estrategias de afrontamiento se relacionan con el nivel de sobrecarga en el familiar cuidador del paciente con diagnóstico de esquizofrenia, en el Centro de Salud Mental Comunitario Sarita Colonia- callao, 2022. Material y Método: El presente estudio de investigación es de enfoque cuantitativo de tipo aplicada, diseño no experimental, correlacional de corte transversal. La población estará conformada por 90 familiares cuidadores de pacientes con diagnóstico de esquizofrenia. Para la recolección de datos se utilizara la técnica de la encuesta, se aplicará 2 instrumentos, la primera el Cuestionario de Inventario de Estrategias de Afrontamiento (CSI) compuesto por 40 ítems, medido por la escala tipo Likert de 5 puntos que consta de 8 dimensiones: resolución de problemas, reestructuración cognitiva, apoyo social, expresión emocional, evitación de problemas, pensamiento desiderativo, retirada social y autocrítica, el segundo La Escala de Sobrecarga del Cuidador de Zarit cuestionario compuesto por 22 preguntas, con cinco opciones de respuesta según la escala de Likert, consta de tres dimensiones: impacto del cuidado, relación interpersonal y expectativas de autoeficacia. Ambos instrumentos cuentan con valores de validez y confiabilidad, lo que permite asegurar que el instrumento es apta para su aplicación.
