Introduction: Health professionals are a group especially susceptible to suffering from burnout syndrome given the demanding nature of their profession and the environment, where it ir estimated that there are twelve nurses for every ten thousand inhabitants; This situation leads the nursing professional to redouble its efforts to meet the demand of patients and the expectation of patients and their families. Likewise, the nursing professional must handle a series of knowledge for the performance of the mission that correspondsto him within the health services. Objective: Determine the relationship of Burnout Syndrome with the Work Performance of nurses in the Emergency Unit of a Hospital in Lima - 2024. Method: The study will be observational, descriptive at a cross-sectional relational level. The study will be observational, descriptive at a cross-sectional relational level. The population will be made up of 120 nurses under a contract in any modality of the Hospital in Lima. The sample will be taken during the period February-April 2024 using the Maslach Burnout Inventory questionnaire and the job performance questionnaire, which will collect data to be processed through non- parametric tests to identify the relationship between the variables, in order to prove that Burnout syndrome interferes with the work performance of the nurses at Hospital of Lima.
Resumen
Objetivo: Determinar la relación del Síndrome de Burnout con el Desempeño Laboral de las enfermeras de la Unidad de Emergencia de un Hospital de Lima - 2024. Método: El estudio será observacional, descriptivo de nivel relacional de corte transversal. La población estará conformada por 120 enfermeros bajo un contrato en cualquier modalidad del Hospital en Lima. La muestra se tomará durante el periodo de febrero a abril del 2024 utilizando el cuestionario de Maslach Burnout Inventory y el cuestionario de desempeño laboral, que recogerán datos para ser procesados mediante pruebas no paramétricas para identificar la relación entre las variables, a fin de probar que el síndrome de burnout interfiere en el desempeño laboral de las enfermeras del Hospital de Lima.
