Hospitals and maternity centers are known as a childcare service with the highest demand for housing and providing care to mothers to begin their recovery and initiate breastfeeding of their babies, at a unique moment where the newborn is enriched from all angles. It is the service where effective and quality feeding would be achieved for newborns. Thus, it is a challenge for nursing professionals to provide knowledge and knowledge about breastfeeding appropriately. Objective: To determine how knowledge is related to breastfeeding practices in mothers of Childcare of the National Maternal Perinatal Institute, Lima - 2022. Methods: This research will be descriptive, observational, cross-sectional, correlational in nature. The population will be made up of mothers hospitalized within the childcare area of the National Maternal Perinatal Institute in Lima, the sample will be made up of one hundred and ten of these hospitalized mothers. The months of January and February 2022 will be covered to collect the sample. Instrument: A questionnaire will be used to examine the knowledge of mothers in the area of childcare, consisting of fourteen questions with three alternative answers individually. The instrument was validated by health professionals, including a nutritionist, a psychologist, a gynecologist, five nurses and two pediatricians. Likewise, the validation was carried out with the binomial test, showing the resulting value of P obtained P=0.00098 for content validity, which gave P <0.05 in the instruments, so it is significant for their concordance and validation.
Resumen
Centros hospitalarios y centros maternos son conocidos como un servicio de puericultura con mayor demanda en alojar y brindar cuidados a las madres para dar inicio a su recuperación e iniciar lactancia materna a su bebe, en un momento único en donde el recién nacido es enriquecido de todos los ángulos. Es el servicio en donde se lograría una alimentación eficaz y de calidad a los recién nacidos. Siendo de tal forma un reto para los profesionales enfermeros otorgar los saberes y conocimientos sobre el amamantamiento adecuadamente. Objetivo: Determinar cómo el conocimiento se relaciona con las prácticas de lactancia materna en las madres de Puericultura del Instituto Nacional Materno Perinatal, Lima – 2022. Métodos: esta investigación tendrá carácter descriptivo, observacional, transversal, correlacional. la población se conformará de las madres hospitalizadas dentro del área de puericultura del Instituto Nacional Materno Perinatal en Lima, la muestra será constituida de ciento diez de estas madres hospitalizadas. Se abarcará los meses de enero y febrero de 2022 para realizarse el recojo de la muestra. Instrumento: se utilizará un cuestionario mediante el cual se examina los conocimientos de las madres en el área de puericultura, conformada de catorce interrogantes de tres respuestas alternativas individualmente. El instrumento fue validado a juicio de profesionales de salud entre ellos un nutricionista, un psicólogo, un ginecólogo, cinco enfermeras y dos pediatras. Asimismo, la validación fue ejecutada con la prueba binomial mostrando de resultante el valor de P obtenidos P=0.00098 de contenido en la validez, que dio P < 0.05 en los instrumentos, de manera que es significativa para su concordancia y validación.
