The present investigation entitled: "quality of life and its relationship with the body image of mastectomized patients in the oncology area of the Hermilio Valdizan Medrano regional hospital, Huánuco - 2021 had the main or general objective of determining the degree of relationship between quality of life and its relationship with body image. The present study is of a correlational type because it aims to verify the relationship between the quality of life and the body image of mastectomized patients without modifying the reality presented by the participants. The population of the present investigation was 50 mastectomized patients and the sample is equal to the population, that is, it is a universal sample. The technique used was the survey and documentary analysis and as instruments, the quality of life identification test in mastectomized patients because it is an instrument already developed by the National Mental Health Directorate. Regarding the reliability of the quality of life variable, it has Cron Bach's Alpha. 0.735 (α > 0.6), which is why it is argued that the instrument is reliable. The same occurs with the instrument that measures body image, where the reliability of the instrument was determined based on the Cronbach alpha statistic. The result of the test was 0.802 (α > 0.6), which confirms the hypothesis of general reliability of the instrument.
Resumen
La presente investigación titulada: “calidad de vida y su relación con la imagen corporal de las pacientes mastectomizadas en el área oncológica del hospital regional Hermilio Valdizan Medrano, Huánuco – 2021” tuvo objetivo principal o general determinar el grado de relación entre la calidad de vida y su relación con la imagen corporal. El presente estudio es de tipo correlacional porque pretende comprobar la relación entre la calidad de vida y la imagen corporal de las pacientes mastectomizadas sin modificar la realidad que presentan los participantes. la población de la presente investigación fueron 50 pacientes mastectomizadas y la muestra es igual a la población, es decir se trata de una muestra universal. la técnica utilizada fue la encuesta y el análisis documental y como instrumentos, el test de identificación de calidad de vida en pacientes mastectomizadas por ser un instrumento ya elaborado por la dirección Nacional de Salud Mental. Respecto a la confiablidad de la variable calidad de vida tiene como Alfa de Cron Bach. 0,735 (α > 0,6), por lo cual se sostiene que el instrumento es confiable, de igual forma ocurre con el instrumento que mide la imagen corporal donde la confiabilidad del instrumento se determinó en función al estadístico Alfa de Cron Bach. El resultado de la prueba arrojó 0,802 (α > 0,6), lo que confirma la hipótesis de confiabilidad general del instrumento.
