Ítem Acceso abierto Abuse of social networks and self-control in secondary school students of the Chorrillos district, 2019(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-10-27) Horta Velayarce, Ana María; Tamayo Toro, Mónica Alexandra420 secondary school students were studied in a non-probabilistic sample to check the relationship between social media abuse and self-control. The Social Media Addiction Scale (ARS) by Miguel Escurra and Edwin Salas and the Child and Adolescent Self-Control Questionnaire (CACIA) by Capafóns Bonet and Silva Moreno, adapted for the Peruvian context, were used. The results indicated that 41.6% of the participants were at a moderate level of social media abuse and 31.1% were at a regular level of self-control. Additionally, statistically significant differences were found in the obsession component (U = 19835.0; p = .003) and social media abuse (U = 20287.5; p = .010) by gender. Statistically significant differences were also found in the lack of control over social media use (X2 = 6.599; p = .037) and social media abuse (X2 = 5.919; p = .042) by age. Finally, a highly significant negative and moderate-low correlation (rho = -.310; p = .000) was found between social media abuse and self-controlÍtem Acceso abierto Academic self-efficacy and academic stress in university students performing their pre-professional internships in a hospital, Metropolitan Lima – 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-12-15) Plácido Escobedo, Yesenia Del Pilar; Reyes Callahuacho, David TitoThe purpose of this study was to establish the relationship between the variables academic self-efficacy and academic stress in health sciences university students who are completing their pre-professional internships at a military hospital in Metropolitan Lima, 2022. The methodology followed a quantitative approach, basic type, correlational, and non-experimental, cross-sectional design, with a sample of 155 health sciences university students of both genders, with an average age between 20 and 57 years, who are completing their pre-professional internships at a military hospital. The questionnaires used were the Academic Self-Efficacy Scale (EAPESA) and the SISCO SV-21 Inventory; Spearman's rho coefficient was employed to verify the hypotheses. The results showed that the academic self-efficacy variable correlates in a direct and low manner (rho = -0.351; p=0.001<0.05) with the academic stress variable in health sciences university students completing their pre-professional internships. This means that the student's determination and belief in their ability to achieve goals in difficult situations affect their physical, cognitive, and emotional state, leading to lower academic stress levels.Ítem Acceso abierto Addiction to social networks and aggressiveness in students of a regular basic education school, Apurímac – 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-05-03) Ramírez Rojas, Lucho Hernando; Turriate Chávez, Jairo JaimeThe objective of this research was to determine the relationship between social media addiction and aggressiveness in students attending regular basic education in Apurímac – 2023. This study followed a quantitative approach, with descriptive and correlational levels, and a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The Social Media Addiction Questionnaire (ARS) and the Aggressiveness Questionnaire (AQ) were administered to 248 secondary school students. A weak positive correlation was found, with a Pearson coefficient (r) of 0.246 and a bilateral significance value (Sig) of 0.000. This indicates a statistically significant, although not very strong, connection between social media addiction and aggressiveness. The results confirm the existence of a relationship between social media addiction and aggressiveness in students attending regular basic education in Apurímac – 2023. As social media addiction increases, aggressiveness tends to increase as well, although the relationship is not very strong.Ítem Acceso abierto Addiction to video games and social skills in high school students of a private educational institution in east Lima, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-12-14) Collao Hermoza, Orion Axel; Valencia Pecho, Diego IsmaelThe purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between video game addiction and social skills in secondary school students from a private educational institution in East Lima. The research was basic, with a correlational level, non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 189 students who were administered the Adult Attachment Scale in Couples (MICE) and the Dating Violence Questionnaire (CUVINO). The findings revealed that students who reported perceiving a low level of violence in their relationships also exhibited anxious (82.3%) and avoidant (87.9%) attachment styles. It was also determined that partner violence is significantly associated (x2 = 23.251; p = 0.000 < 0.05) with attachment styles. It is concluded that students who develop anxious and avoidant attachment styles tend to resort to violence as the only mechanism to solve difficult situations, in contrast to those with secure attachment who show less propensity to use violence.Ítem Acceso abierto Body image and addiction to social networks in secondary level students of the Pedro Gálvez Egúsquiza Educational Institution, Lima-2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-03-13) Escurra Ludeña, Yampier; Reyes Callahuacho, David TitoThe research aimed to determine the relationship between body image and social media addiction in secondary school students at the I.E.P. Pedro Gálvez Egúsquiza. This study was quantitative, with a correlational level, non-experimental, and cross-sectional design. The Social Media Addiction Questionnaire and the Body Image Dissatisfaction Questionnaire were applied to 151 secondary school students.
