The present study called "Level of emotional overload and resilience in family caregivers of adolescent patients hospitalized in the mental health area of the Edgardo Rebagliati Hospital, 2022" aims to determine the relationship between emotional overload and resilience in family caregivers of adolescent hospitalized patients, from the mental health area of the Edgardo Rebagliati Hospital, the present research uses the deductive method with a quantitative approach, it is of an applied type and of a non-experimental design, cross-sectional. Prior to the execution of this study, the corresponding administrative procedures will be formalized and the participants will be asked for informed consent. The population is made up of 100 family caregivers of adolescent patients, this study contemplates the entire population for the research because it is a minimal amount and to whom the instruments of the Zarit scale and the Wagnild and Young Resilience scale will be applied, with 22 and 25 items respectively. The Zarit scale examines three dimensions: the impact of caregiving, interpersonal relationships, and self-efficacy expectations. The resilience scale examines five dimensions: self-confidence, perseverance, equanimity, personal satisfaction, and the dimension of feeling good alone. The results of both scales will be determined independently, and the relationship that overload exerts on resilience in the three dimensions that measure the level of overload of the family caregiver will also be analyzed. The information obtained will be tabulated and processed statistically, using the statistical packages Excel and SPSS 22.

Level of resilience and psychological well-being in the patient with chronic kidney disease in hemodialysis treatment in a private clinic in Lima in 2023
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-10-22) Napa Torres, Julio César; Morillo Acasio, Berlina del Rosario
Introduction: The level of resilience is the balance to obtain physical, psychological, social and economic well-being. Being in good health means having a healthy emotional state, but having end-stage chronic kidney disease triggers psycho-emotional alterations that put public health at risk, increasing the rate of comorbidity that is unrelated to reaching psychological well-being in the patient. Objective: To determine how the level of resilience is related to psychological well-being in patients with kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis treatment in a clinic in Lima, 2023. Methods: This type of research is applied to a quantitative approach with an observational method and design, correlational and transversal. The sample was made up of 60 patients with chronic kidney disease to whom two instruments were applied; the Wagnild and Young Scale to measure the level of resilience, made up of 25 items measured on the Likert scale, grouped into five dimensions. The other instrument will measure psychological well-being with the Ryff scale, consisting of 35 items measured on the Likert scale and grouped into six dimensions.

Methodology: Study with a quantitative descriptive approach, cross-sectional correlational, population It was made up of 380 adolescents who attend the SADA program (Different Care Service for Adolescents), a sample of 121 adolescents was taken, by non-probabilistic sampling by convenience. The Wagnild and Young questionnaire was used and for Alcohol Risk AUDIT, these instruments are validated. Results: Regarding the resilience variable, 76% presented a high level, 24% a medium level and 0% a low level; Regarding their self-confidence dimension, 73% presented a high level of resilience, 26% a medium level. Regarding the alcohol consumption variable, 40% (48) of adolescents surveyed presented medium risk, followed by 57% (69) who presented low risk. Regarding the dimensions, the highest score was harmful alcohol consumption and the lowest score was alcohol risk. The correlational statistical test was Chi square 13.509, df 3, P value 0.004, indicating an inversely proportional, statistically significant relationship between both variables. Conclusion: There is an inverse relationship between the level of resilience and the risk of alcohol consumption.
