The present thesis denominated Application of the methodological strategy "Learning to investigate" in the area of Science Technology and Environment in students of the fourth degree of secondary education of the Public Educational Institution "San Antonio de Padua" - Cañete, 2015; It was executed in order to train competent students with scientific abilities and skills in the area, oriented to the integral development of the students, in a sample population of 34 students in each group. The present study is characterized for being an applied investigation of experimental character and quasi-experimental design with two groups one of control and one experimental; to validate the hypothesis, the application of methodological strategies "Learning to Investigate" significantly improves the capacity of inquiry and experimentation in the area of Science Technology and Environment in the students of the fourth grade of secondary education of the Public Educational Institution "San Antonio de Padua" , Cañete - 2015 The instrument used was a pre-test consisting of ten items and dichotomous questions attributing the value 1 for the correct answer and zero for the incorrect answer, applied to both groups, obtaining 0% in the satisfactory level, 29% in the level achieved, 24% at the process level and 47% at the start level. The experimental group applied the treatment with the methodological strategies learning to investigate in 16 learning sessions and, afterwards, a test of exit (post test) was applied to both groups, obtaining favorable results for the experimental group in the attainment of the capacity of investigation and experimentation, evidencing 62% of students in the satisfactory level, 26% in the achieved level, 12% in the process level and 0% in the beginning level, demonstrating that the methodological strategies Learning to Investigate significantly improve the achievement of capacity of inquiry and experimentation in the area of Science, Technology and Environment in the students of the fourth grade of secondary education of the educational institution San Antonio de Padua with a high level of significance of 0.000 for the experimental group versus 0.637 of the control group.
Resumen
La presente tesis denominada Aplicación de la estrategia metodológica “Aprendiendo a investigar” en el área de Ciencia Tecnología y Ambiente en estudiantes del cuarto grado de educación secundaria de la Institución Educativa Pública “San Antonio de Padua” – Cañete, 2015; fue ejecutada con la finalidad de formar estudiantes competentes con capacidades y habilidades científicas en el área, orientado al desarrollo integral de los alumnos, en una población muestral de 34 estudiantes en cada grupo. El presente estudio se caracteriza por ser una investigación aplicada de carácter experimental y diseño cuasi experimental con dos grupos uno de control y uno experimental; para validar la hipótesis la aplicación de estrategias metodológicas “Aprendiendo a Investigar” mejora significativamente la capacidad de indagación y experimentación en el área de Ciencia Tecnología y Ambiente en los estudiantes del cuarto grado de educación secundaria de la Institución Educativa Pública “San Antonio de Padua”, Cañete - 2015. El instrumento utilizado fue una prueba de entrada (pre test) compuesto por diez ítems y preguntas politómicas, aplicada a ambos grupos, obteniendo 0 % en el nivel satisfactorio, 29 % en el nivel logrado, 24 % en el nivel proceso y 47 % en el nivel inicio. Al grupo experimental se aplicó el tratamiento con las estrategias metodológicas aprendiendo a investigar en 16 sesiones de aprendizaje y, posteriormente se aplicó una prueba de salida (post test) a ambos grupos, obteniendo resultados favorables para el grupo experimental en el logro de la capacidad de indagación y experimentación al evidenciar un 62 % de estudiantes en el nivel satisfactorio, 26 % en el nivel logrado, 12 % en el nivel proceso y 0 % en el nivel inicio, demostrando que las estrategias metodológicas Aprendiendo a Investigar mejoran significativamente el logro de capacidad de indagación y experimentación en el área de Ciencia, Tecnología y Ambiente en las estudiantes del cuarto grado de educación secundaria de la institución educativa San Antonio de Padua con un alto nivel de significancia del 0.000 para el grupo experimental frente al 0,637 del grupo de control.
