Objective: Determine the relationship that exists between the knowledge and practices of nursing staff in the management of patients with traumatic brain injury who enter the emergency service of a National Hospital of Comas, 2021. Material and method: It is of an applied type, quantitative, cross-sectional approach, non-experimental design, correlational level and hypothetical-deductive method. The population was made up of 80 nurses who work in the emergency service who will be selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Technique and instrument: The technique to be used will be the survey and an observation guide and the instrument that will be used is a questionnaire of 20 questions that will evaluate the knowledge of the nursing staff in its dimension of airway management, ventilation, circulatory, neurological and patient exposure giving values using the Stanones scale (high, medium and low) and to evaluate the practice of the nursing staff, an observation guide will be used that consists of 27 specific interventions that will determine if the nursing staff has a adequate or inadequate, said Instruments were developed by Quiroz Evangelista Liz in Peru in 2015 which were not modified for said study. The statistical analyzes will be carried out through SPSS software and the Chi square test will be used to determine the correlation of both variables.
Resumen
Objetivo: Determinar la relación que existe entre el conocimiento y las practicas del personal de enfermería en el manejo de pacientes con traumatismo craneoencefálico que ingresan al servicio de emergencia de un Hospital Nacional de Comas, 2021. Material y método: Es de tipo aplica, de enfoque cuantitativo, de corte transversal, de diseño no experimental, de nivel correlacional y de método hipotético - deductivo. La población estuvo conformada por 80 enfermeras (os) que laboran en el servicio de emergencia los cuales serán seleccionados de acuerdo a los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Técnica e instrumento: La técnica a usarse será la encuesta y una guía de observación y el instrumento que se utilizara es un cuestionario de 20 preguntas que evaluara el conocimiento del personal de enfermería en su dimensión de manejo de la vía aérea, ventilación, circulatorio, neurológico y exposición del paciente dando valores mediante la escala de Stanones (alto, medio y bajo) y para evaluar la práctica del personal de enfermería se utilizara una guía de observación que consta de 27 intervenciones específicas que determinara si el personal de enfermería tiene una práctica adecuada o inadecuada, dichos instrumentos fueron elaborados por Quiroz Evangelista Liz en Perú en el año 2015 las cuales no fueron modificadas para dicho estudio. Los análisis estadísticos se realizarán a través de software SPSS y para determinar la correlación de ambas variables se empleará la prueba de Chi cuadrado.
